Have you been to see Taiko, and did you enjoy it?

    Listened to it a time or two . . . I think I would enjoy it live . . .

    Have you been?

I went to the San Jose Taiko recently. I enjoyed it--but I love percussion.

Are they loud? The drums? They can be, depending on how you beat them.

Loud like rock music? Hmmm. There was a lot of old people there, and they weren't plugging their ears. The sounds were not sharp, but very rich. Plus, a flutest and a gourd expert were playing along, as well as one on percussion bells. Loud? Not really. But loud, being that there was no amplification.

I keep saying that I am gonna go . . . but, being a poor preacher type is holding me back for now.

    Soon and very soon.

Actually, I volunteer at the Performing Arts Center in Charlotte, so I saw the morning educational thing for free because I signed up to usher.

I got tickets free because I volunteer, so I took someone to the show with me. (they don't give away free tickets often.)
