    Tenets of Communism

Marx detailed the 10 essential tenets of communism, namely:

    Central banking system
    Government controlled education
    Government controlled labor
Government ownership of transportation and communication vehicles
Government ownership of agricultural means and factories
    Total abolition of private property
    Property rights confiscation
    Heavy income tax on everyone
    Elimination of rights of inheritance
    Regional planning

This should expose the lie of GOP propagandists and Tea Party enthusiasts when the say that Obama is a Communist or Socialist. Of course they are simply playing politics and the ignorance of people.

Looking at your list: The best this list does is to convince me that the President is moving the US toward socialism.

    Other than that: :sleeping_2:

What makes you say this? I would really like to know. You statement is a matter of opinion with no explanation of how you arrived at this conclusion.

I would not call G. Bush a Socialist or Communist, but he did take away some of our civil rights with the Patriot Act and the Homeland Security Act making the federal government much closer to Big Brother and Communism is very Big Brother.

I really believe people are far too quick with labels without thinking through what they are saying. I understand why political parties do this. They want power and usually ethics and truth has little to do with what they say. I trust both parties to do or say that which they think will help their chances and not be particularly interested in my ... or your ... welfare.

Of course, you would get into the Bush administration and talk about the Patriot Act which has kept us safe from attack for almost 10 years.

So you're saying that he's not nationalizing the auto industry. He's seeking to national the health care industry.

The Supreme court has already abolished the basis of property rights with the extending of the law of eminent domain.

It's not just labeling, it's what is happening.

Nothing about what ? I don't think you finished that sentence. Hard to tell.....

I did, however use the wrong quote, I'll admit to that. But my question still stands.

    Context my friend, context.

Let's put it in simple questions.

    1. Have you ever read any of the writings of Marx or Engles?
    2. Have you ever visited a Communist country?
    3. Have you ever talked with a card carrying Communist? Say someone from China or Russia?
    4. Have you ever met and talked with a person who was born in a Communist country?
    5. What is the most quoted sentence from Communist writings?
    6. What is the famous quote from Lenin on Capitalism and a rope?
    7. Which of the ten tenets in the OP is Obama in favor of and pushing for? And be ready to provide sources to back up any you say he is for.

You are making the mistake of using "socialism" and "communism" interchangeably.

I don't see the point in answering any of those. One only has to look at the avowed Marxists, Maoists, Socialists, and commie sympathizers he has surrounded himself with. That, and your blatant dishonesty in other threads, tells me this convesation is going nowhere. I already answered your O/P, and you completely ignored it.

Not that it will make any difference but it was the OP who wrote

I was not confusing them or using them interchangeably. I don't think that the President is a Marxist. I do believe he is a socialist.

Without a little balancing communism/socialism your leaders will impose the economy of Dickins' England on the world.

So the answer to the questions is no. Well, then you have no experience, have read nothing and thus are spouting uninformed opinion. Why am I not surprised?

Nope. I only destroyed your O/P, and once again, because of lack of debate skills, lack of honesty, and sheer laziness, you ignore the response and make me the issue.

    Typical. Pathetic, but typical.

Due to Crabby's poor debate skills he often falls back on handing out homework assignments in an attempt to have you believe that he has knowledge that others lack.

Unfortunately for him he is unable to demonstrate any such knowledge in his postings.
