    Thanks for the explanation.

    I seem to remember reading somewhere that hispanics are not a lock for democrats, that a significant percentage of them are conservative and vote that way. The abortion issue seems to hurt democrats badly with this largely Catholic voting block.

    Then why do Catholics vote mostly Democrat? If Roman Catholics voted strictly on the abortion issue then Republicans would get elected every time.

    That is baloney. Catholics vote republican 55-45 in my state.

    I believe I said I thought I had read that somewhere.

    Maybe I dreamed it. After all ,the reasoning has to be wildly inaccurate. Since you disagree.;)
