I generally take a pre-trib, pre-mil view of eschatology, but there are some aspects of it that cause me to pose some questions. Generally speaking, most pre-trib, pre-mil's maintain that once the rapture takes place, the Holy Spirit will be withdrawn from the earth (usually citing 2 Thes 2:7 as the basis of their belief). OTOH, most of these folks will also maintain that there will be people saved during the tribulation period (usually citing such passages as Rev 6:9-11). Now, if the HS is withdrawn from the earth, how are these "tribulation saints" drawn to the Gospel? Are these "tribulation saints" indwelt with the HS (cf. Romans 8:9b)? Is it the goal of these "tribulation saints" to be led by the HS? What are your thoughts about the role of the HS with regard to these "tribulation saints"?
