I've never heard of it before and the publication date is next month (copyright 2016), so I'm assuming this is a recent book. It's a must have for me :)

Found volume 2 pre-order on amazon. The DA Carson review said "This first of a projected twelve volumes..."

12 volumes...That's $360 total. Maybe they are not a must have for me :(

Lol, that's funny. When I read the first post in here, I was thinking "Ooh, that would be a nice gift for the pastor."

Didn't realize this was a pre-order (hadn't pursued to the point of ordering). I had not heard and did not know about it until my daughter liked it on Facebook and I saw it in my feed.

My wife actually bought me volume 1 for Christmas. It weighs in at an estimated 50 pounds (sorta kidding), but if anyone is local and want to borrow it just let me know.

    brnow.org/News/June-2018-(1)/Midwestern-accepts-Spurgeon-scholar-s-resignation

"Christian T. George submitted his resignation May 3 to Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Mo. The resignation was “due to a personal moral failing,” the seminary told the Biblical Recorder"

"George was assistant professor of historical theology and curator of the Spurgeon Library. He edited two volumes of previously unpublished sermons by Charles Spurgeon, called 'The Lost Sermons of C.H. Spurgeon.' He received his bachelor’s degree from Samford University in Birmingham, Ala. (2003); a master of divinity degree from Beeson Divinity School in Birmingham (2007); and his doctor of philosophy from the University of St. Andrews in St. Andrews, Scotland (2011)."
