Please don't lie about it, Wes. You brought up the age topic, not me.

That is OLD TESTAMENT spoken to the OLD COVENANT JEWS! Come of age and we will have a good conversation! </font>
Presuming this is the post you are referring to as me introducing age into the topic.

Please tell us all that what I said has anything to do with the number of birthdays you've celebrated, or the level of your spiritual maturity.

I am merely stating that what you declare is OT spoken to OT Jews, and that you should come into the new covenant.

I have an opinion, but I have made it clear, and this stuff, quite frankly, bores me these days. It isn't a challenge to answer the same thing for the 3000th time, especially when the answers are plain and can be found in any entry level theology text. It is a constant rehash of old stuff. There is a refusal to accept the words of Scripture. There are constant misrepresentations of what others believe. It just isn't worth the time to respond. So I just check in to make sure no one is ripping the pictures off the walls or throwing jello at each other messing the furniture up ...

By having no faith in God! </font>
Well, it doesn't look as if Wes is going to give any kind of substantive answer so I will have to work with what little he gave me.

Question: "If the atonement is unlimited how can anybody ever to to hell?"

Answer: "By having no faith in God."

Now I find that an very interesting answer. If, as Wes claims, Christ atoned for the sins of every person in the world, and the person "having no faith in God" still goes to hell, that must mean that Christ did not atone for the sin of unbelief (having no faith).

And, if Christ did not atone for the sin of unbelief then that sin will never be atoned for because the bible teachers there is no more sacrifice for sin!

In that case, as the sin of unbelief was not paid for on the cross, according to Wes, it is impossible for any person to have that sin forgiven (the sin of unbelief) so everybody will go to hell because "they that offend in one point are guilty of the whole law."

It seems to me that Wes's theology is a bit skewed. Okay, not just a bit, but really skewed!

To answer your question, you need to tell my what proof you have that anyone is in hell? Have you been there? Revelation 20 says:
The Names of those who have faith in God are written in the Book of life. In an eternity, that period of time that we live is miniscule while the Book of life is eternal, so it is not hard to see that "foreknowledge" or "predestination" could be contrived out of the text relating to the book of life. In reality, that probably is a false understanding in light of scripture which says our names CAN BE BLOTTED OUT of the book of life (Rev 3). So Faith in God remains the only thing about man that finds favor with God. Therefore one must conclude as Paul did that We are saved through faith.

You are making the judgment call that unbelief is a sin! From God's perspective, the human spirit has two conditions relative to God, belief and unbelief. Unbelief is a condition of the human spirit, and not a sin. Belief is the condition of the human spirit that God looks for in man. Those he finds believing in him, bypass judgement John 3:18, passing from death into life everlasting (John 5:24). Those without faith, whose names are not found in the book of life, are judged and cast into the lake of fire.

Because man has a sin nature until it is completely vanquished, Sin is what comes out of the human spirit that controls the flesh into acts of sin. Jesus Atoned for ALL sin, so these "acts of sin" have been paid for and therefore are not paid for again by the one sinning.

Why is it you cannot understand that God the Son Atoned for the sins of the world. John 1:29. "The next day, he saw Jesus coming towards him and said, "Look, there is the lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world." (John is the same guy that leapt in the womb, remember? The one that many Calvinists say was saved in the womb), "Takes away the sin of the world", seems pretty INCLUSIVE of all sin. Then, all through the Gospels, Jesus says "believe", "believe", "believe". If unbelief were a sin, there still could be NO penalty for the unbeliever to pay if Jesus paid the penalty for ALL sins.

Answered above, but If unbelief were a sin, there still could be NO penalty for the unbeliever to pay if Jesus paid the penalty for ALL sins.

You are entitled to your "humble" opinion. However, since you have no power or authority over my theology, you can say what you want about it and have the same amount of impact that a downey soft feather, dropped from the top of the Sears tower, has when it hits the sidewalk below.

Are you saying that unbelief is not a sin?
So, unbelief is a condition, but not a sin.

My dad told me about 50 or 55 years ago, "Son, when you find yourself deep in a hole, the best thing you can do is stop digging." Wes, the more you say the deeper the hole gets!
Oh, but I do understand that! I understand that atonement pays the sin debt in full. It is you who seems to think that you have to add your own filthy rags to Christ's perfect sacrifice.
Exactly my point. If Christ paid for all sins of all people on the cross then all people are saved. You can't have it both ways. If He didn't pay for the sin of unbelief, and everybody was in unbelief prior to believing, then nobody can be saved because Christ didn't pay for the sin of unbelief on the cross and there is no more sacrifice for sin!

And because atonement is for All sin, that every human who ever lived is saved.

The atonement is what pays the price of our sin and it is our sin that separates us from God.
No, that is what you are saying. You are the one who believes in a universal atonement. I believe the atonement is limited to only those who believe.

The atonement is for sin. PAID THE PENALTY FOR ALL SIN IN ALL TIMES DON'T YA KNOW.

ATONEMENT HAS NOT SAVED A SINGLE HUMAN BEING!

Only those who believe in God the Son, have everlasting life!

    There went your false accusation!
