The Neocon's Goofy Policy on Iran can be stated as such: Iraq was a disaster, so let's do it again - only this time in Iran. Millions in death, trillions in debt, de facto marshal law, and a suspended constitution. Everything a Change Agent could want to eliminate the last vestiges of a Free Republic.

Although there is much fear leveled toward the Obama administration, which I am not disputing here, the neocon's may well be the ultimate downfall of our country.

This is thread is truly funny in that Obama is the one threatening war with Iran.

Barack Obama has told America’s allies that the United States will attack Iran before fall 2012 unless Tehran halts its nuclear program, a time frame that suggests Obama is willing to use war as a re-election campaign tool to rally the population around his leadership.

    http://www.infowars.com/obama-tells-allies-u-s-will-attack-iran-by-fall-2012/

(Reuters) - President Barack Obama said on Thursday the United States was considering all options on Iran and would work with allies, including Israel, to prevent Tehran from acquiring a nuclear weapon.

On Iran, Obama said: "No options off the table means I'm considering all options."

I guess that Obama is now a neocon.

Well, if all this comes to pass, I know where I'll be in 2013. Just as I was thinking we were in for some peace, too.

Edited to add: Actually, it'll probably be 2014 when I am there. My dwell time won't be up until Dec2013.

I doubt that will be a very wise campaign tool. Support for such action is weak at best.

I don't know who or what neocons are but I do know Iran is a threat to the stability of the whole world. The Lord helped defuse the nuclear threat that existed between the US and Russia during the Reagan administration, resulting in the collapse of the Berlin wall. That was a good thing. Reagan's "peace through strength" was absolutely right. Anti-Christian world powers like Russia are a serious threat to world peace, like Hitler proved and Sadam was out to prove. Modern peaceniks don't fully understand that peace, today more than ever, is only maintained through strength.

Neville Chamberlain brought home to England a false promise of peace with Germany after his meeting with Hitler, which, I believe, had the negative effect of contributing to the devastating loss of a half million American lives in the end. There will be no world peace when muslim nations bind together to destroy Israel. Why are these insaniacs so bent on destroying the Jews? Because they are of their father, the devil, and they are just the lastest of a history of blind, wicked slaves of satan to try.

The devil is not only interested in destroying Israel, he wants to bring America down, and he will do exactly that, soon I think, in nuclear destruction in fulfillment of Rev. 14:8 and Rev 18. Until the Lord comes I will always be a strong supporter of war against the devil's forces who seek to annihilate Israel and a supporter of the US maintaining a strong foothold in the middle of those satanic insaniacs.

Our God is a man of war (Ex. 15:3), and for good reason. Muslims don't care if they completely annihilate their nasty suicidal selves in the process, if they can only fulfill their wicked obsession with wiping all Jews off the face of the earth in the Middle East. If America is not destroyed before Armageddon, how many more thousands of US lives are going to be destroyed in the holocaust of WW3?

Very loose definition of neocon? People doin and sayin things we don't like.

Where are you getting such numbers JD? According to IraqBodyCount there were 113,00 documented civilian deaths from violence.

Where? Here? Golly I missed all the troops hanging around the streets checking ID's and pointing guns at me. Also I think you mean Martial Law. Marshall law would be like Matt Dillon.

Just curious, if war does come are you going to sign-up and go fight?

If yes, more power to you and thank you for your willingness to serve and die.

I volunteered for the Army during the 'Nam era and served for 3 years (I was stationed at Ft. Bragg for most of that time and did not go overseas). I serve God wherever I can if I can only figure out what He wants me to do. I did not want to join the Army, but after praying for a long time about the matter, I believed the Lord wanted me to join, so I did.

Yeah, lets kill a bunch of innocent civilians by either bombing them, or putting sanctions on them (which only hurts the poor of a country).

THAT will help things. And it couldn't possibly make any new terrorists...

Now that I have sons of fighting age I am much slower about saying 'Send our children over to die or be maimed' in yet another aimless war.

Much slower? You must have put that machine in reverse then.

Hardly anyone is calling for sending our kids to Iran. This is one of the biggest strawmen going around.

I am only for war as a last resort. To be honest, I am tired of war. I am hoping to have a few years of peace.

However, if Iran proves to be a threat (which is another debate altogether), then war most likely is inevitable. In this case, talking about not killing innocent civilians sounds all noble. But the alternative (again, IF Iran proves to be a threat) is Americans dying.

If a gunman takes a single hostage, and begins to shoot others and killing them, it is justifiable (yet still horrible to have to do) to kill both the gunman and the hostage in order to save more people. In that case, the life of the hostage is not on the hands of the one who had to kill, it is on the one who forced the killing to be done.

It is the same with countries. If Iran proves to be a threat, and killing Iranians will save American lives, then their lives are on the hands of their aggressive leadership who forced the actions, not on the hands of those who took the actions.

Again, these situations are horrible, and I hope that war does not once again knock on our door. But if it takes war to conserve peace, then that is what it takes and I will not back down or shy away from it.

If Iran proves to be a threat, those who will be spouting off the number of innocents in Iran dying will in all actuality be saying that they'd rather it were Americans dying.

Honestly it is not necessary to explain this to RP supporters. They are all intelligent enough to know it. They just are willing to choose to ignore it which is why RP is so dangerous. He in fact argues against a UN report showing the Nuclear threat. He argues against our own intel. He just doesn't want it to be true so he sticks his fingers in his ears and squints his eyes and says "no its not, no its not, no its not!"

Ron Paul says the UN report and the IAEA report are false. He says that our sanctions against Iran are an act of war and are creating the desire for Iran to obtain nuclear weapons. He says Iran will probably close the Straits of Hormuz after we bomb them. Radical Muslims have not attacked Switzerland or Sweden because they have not bombed any Islamic countries. And even though the State Department has classified Iran as a state sponsor of terrorism, there is no reason to fly drones over Iran. Paul says the idea of bombing Iran because they have acquired one of our drones is a big mistake. (strawman alert!)

Iranian lives are no less valuable than American lives. I want the least total mount of deaths, not "Well if two hundred thousand Iranians have to die to save 200 Americans, so be it. Us or them."

That is a horrible, and un-Christian attitude. The "leadership" who is forcing the action, in this case, is the United States government, who seems to have believed the lie that they get to tell the rest of the world what to do.
