As my wife is teaching English as a second language the semester we often talk about words as we eat. A couple of days ago as we were eating our evening meal she said, "Use the word as in a sentence. How many times can you put the word as in one sentence. After further talking and creating sentences we decided that this little English word, as, is probably used in more ways with a more shades of meaning than any other word. So, create for me a sentence using the word as, as often as possible showing how it changes in meaning. For instance: As the frog sat on a lily a fly hovered nearby as lazily as a sloth.
