    Well...hear I go...

All I know about Mark Dricoll is this that I found by googling him...

That has got to be the most, ridiculous, ignorant, insulting and STUPID messages ever given to a room full of christians in the history of christian messages.

If I were in the audience, I would have been so insulted..that stupidity of this magnatude was forced into my ears..that I would have got up and left.

Seriously, if I was'nt dependant upon someone else to go home, I would have walked out.

So you're saying you wear a sweater vest and eat tofu and sprouts? Elliptical or yoga?

Lighten up, Francis. You need to toughen up. A LOT.

So, since you wear a sweater vest, drive a moped, and wear velcro "sneakers" how can you show so much animosity toward Driscoll, when you don't know what tofu is? I mean?

Son, you gotta toughen up that skin!!!!

You'd walk out on that? Come on, MAN!!! That was a time to laugh and reflect! The ministry should toughen you up and make you more resilient, not make ya tuck tail and run at the slighest "offense."

Heavens sakes, and fiddlesticks, you should really lighten up Francis, and enjoy the moment of humor and muse upon your own self in light of what he said!

    :tongue3:

Driscoll's appraisal of the Apostle Paul would be that his bodily presence is weak and is a big problem in the church

The gavel came down on Driscoll when I heard him say, "God talked to me. He told me to marry Grace, preach the Bible, to plant churches and train men."

God has spoken to me. Does that make ME a liar? He told me after my second miscarriage and over twelve years of fertility drugs that I WOULD have another baby - but to His glory. We quit trying and rested in Him. I not only had another baby but TWO with no fertility drugs.

Am I lying? Or maybe delusional....

I guess I just don't have the moral superiority to judge a man who has clearly repented of a past act, YEARS ago, and impugne his ministry, which is reaching people with the Gospel who might never otherwise encouter it, because I am clearly more spiritual than him.

I guess I just don't have the guts to do that. I like Pastor Driscoll, am thankful for his ministry, and listen to his sermon from Sunday almost every week. He is a great communicator, a straightforward pastor, and honest about discussing messy issues.

That certainly comprised much of Christ's instruction. As well as that of the Apostles.

I'd prefer the rendering "eat their own excrement and drink their own urine." as the 2011 NIV has it. It's still pretty graphic with the wording of the latter.

    Annsni....

God has spoken to me as well. Not with audible words, but with just as much clarity as audible words.

    Praise the Lord.

    Wow...Very surprising...

Is this based on a ceasationist view of God's work in the world, in that God cannot occasionally speak to someone audibly? Is there scripture to support such a view with such surety that anyone who claims such must be a liar?
