GENESIS

1.1 In the beginning El’ohim 1 created Heaven and Earth, 1.2 and the Earth was without form, and void, and darkness was on the face of the deep, and Ru’Ah 2 of El’ohim moved on the face of the waters. 1.3 El’ohim said, “Let there be light”, and there was light, 1.4 and El’ohim saw the light, that it was good, and El’ohim separated the light from the darkness, 1.5 and El’ohim called the light ‘Day’, and the darkness he called ‘Night’, and the evening and morning were Day 1.

1.6 El’ohim 1 said, “Let there be a firmament in the middle of the waters, and let it separate the waters above from the waters below. 1.7 El’ohim made the firmament, and separated the waters under the firmament from the waters above the firmament, and it happened. 1.8 El’ohim called the firmament ‘Heaven’, and the evening and morning were Day 2.

1.9 El’ohim 1 said, “Let the waters under Heaven be gathered to one place, and let dry land appear”, and it happened, 1.10 and El’ohim called the dry land ‘Earth’, and the gathering of the waters he called ‘Seas’, and El’ohim saw it was good, 1.11 and El’ohim said, “Let the Earth bring forth grass, the blade of grass yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit according to its species, whose seed is in itself, on the Earth, and it happened, 1.12 and the Earth brought forth grass, and the blade of grass yielding seed according to its species, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, according to its species, and El’ohim saw it was good, 1.13 and the evening and morning were Day 3.

1.14 El’ohim 1 said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of Heaven to separate Day from Night, and let them be as signs, seasons, days and years, 1.15 and let them be as lights in the firmament of Heaven to give light on the Earth”, and it happened. 1.16 El’ohim made two large lights, the larger light to rule Day and the smaller light to rule Night. He made Stars also, 1.17 and El’ohim put them in the firmament of Heaven to give light on the Earth, 1.18 and rule over Day and Night, and separate Light from Darkness, and El’ohim saw it was good, 1.19 and the evening and morning were Day 4.

1.20 El’ohim 1 said, “Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that has life, and birds that can fly above the Earth in the open firmament of Heaven”. 1.21 El’ohim created large whales, and every living creature that moves, that the waters brought forth abundantly, according to their species, and every winged bird according to its species, and El’ohim saw it was good. 1.22 El’ohim blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the Earth”, 1.23 and evening and morning were Day 5.

Genesis 1.24 Law, Prophets, Writings page 2

1.24 El’ohim 1 said, “Let the Earth bring forth the living creature according to its species - cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the Earth according to its species”, and it happened. 1.25 El’ohim made the beast of the Earth according to its species, and cattle according to their species, and everything that creeps on the Earth according to its species, and El’ohim saw it was good.
1.26 El’ohim said, “Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness, and let them have dominion over the first of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the Earth, and over ever creeping thing that moves on the Earth.

1.27 So El’ohim 1 created Man in his own image. In the image of El’ohim he created him - male and female he created them. 1.28 El’ohim blessed them, and El’ohim said to them, “Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the Earth, and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over everything that moves on Earth”. 1.29 El’ohim said, “Look, I’ve given you every blade of grass bearing seed that is on the face of Earth, and every tree in that is the fruit of a tree yielding seed - it will be edible for you”. 1.30 I’ve made every green vegetable edible for every beast of the Earth, every bird of the air, and everything that creeps on the Earth”, and it happened. 1.31 El’ohim saw everything he had made, and look, it was very good, and the evening and morning were Day 6.

2.1 So the Heavens and the Earth were finished together with their entire host. 2.2 On Day 7 El’ohim 1 ended his work he had done, and he rested on Day 7 from all the work he had done. 2.3 El’ohim blessed Day 7, and he made it holy, because on it, El’ohim rested from all the work he’d created and done. 2.4 These are the generations of the Heavens and Earth when they were created, on the day Ya’HuVaH 2 El’ohim made Earth and the Heavens, 2.5 and every plant in the field in front of it was on Earth, and every herb of the field in front of it grew. This is because Ya’HuVaH El’ohim had not made it rain on Earth, and there was no man to turn over the soil, 2.6 but a mist came up from Earth and watered the whole face of the ground.

2.7 Ya’HuVaH 2 El’ohim 1 formed the Man out of the dust of the ground, and breathed the breath of life to his nostrils, and the Man became a living soul.
2.8 Ya’HuVaH El’ohim planted a garden to the East in Eden, and there he put the man he had formed. 2.9 Out of the ground Ya’HuVaH El’ohim made every tree grow that is pleasant to the eyes and good for food, the tree of life also in the middle of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, 2.10 and a river went out of Eden to water the garden, and from there it split and became four heads. 2.11 The name of the 1st river is the Pison, the one that surrounds the whole land of Havilah 3 where there is gold,

Recommend capitalization of pronouns referring
to all persons of El'ohim. This is one of the new conventions
that I like - we really need to show some honor
to El'ohim! It really doesn't make any
sense in Hebrew, but it helps we Americans who
try to understand English.

Genesis1.27b:
.... In the image of El’ohim He created him - male and female He created them.

(this will be easy until you get to Daniel 9:12
when the second 'he' capitalization/non-caps makes a split
between an a-millennial and pre-millennial eschatology :) )

Since the Hebrew word translated "replenish" in Genesis 1:28 was often translated "fill" in the KJV and it was translated "fill" at this verse in several of the pre-1611 English Bibles and since some today read an incorrect meaning of "refill" into the rendering "replenish" that was not intended by the KJV translators, it would seem to be better to use the clearer "fill" instead of "replenish."

At Genesis 1:28, Tyndale’s, Coverdale’s, Matthew’s, Taverner’s, and Geneva Bibles all have “fill” while the KJV kept the Bishops’ rendering “replenish.” David Cloud acknowledged that “the word translated ’replenish’ in Genesis 1:28 is more commonly translated ’to fill’” (Way of Life Encyclopedia, p. 343, Concise KJB Dictionary, p. 75). At Genesis 1:28, Waite’s Defined KJB indicated that “replenish” was archaic for “fill, populate, fill or supply with people” (p. 2). The first definition at its entry replenish in the 1828 Webster’s Dictionary is “to fill,” and it cited the use of this word in Genesis 1 as an example with this meaning. Bridges and Weigle affirmed that replenish “in the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, meant to fill, to make full, to occupy the whole of” (KJB Wordbook, p. 288). The Oxford English Dictionary defined replenish in ordinary transitive uses as “to make full of, to fill, to stock or store abundantly with, persons or animals” (Vol. XIII, p. 644). John Florio’s 1598 A World of Words indicated that replenish was used with the same meaning as fill [“to fill, to replenish” and “to fill or replenish”]. The same Hebrew word at Genesis 1:28 was translated “fill” in the KJV at Genesis 1:22. Tyndale’s, Coverdale’s, and Matthew’s have “fill” at Genesis 9:1. The KJV revised “replenished” in Geneva and Bishops’ (2 Kings 21:16) to “filled” while it replaced the Bishops’ “filled” (Ezek. 26:2) with “replenished.” The 1568 edition of the Bishops’ has “replenish” at Psalm 90:14 while the Geneva has “fill.“ At Psalm 104:13, the 1568 edition of the Bishops’ has “replenished” where the Geneva has “filled” and the KJV has “satisfied.“ The 1582 Rheims had used “replenished” at Acts 4:31 where the KJV has “filled.”

Wycliffe also uses 'fille' instead of replenish.

Tyndale's spelling is 'fyll'

honor of the LORD

I am sypathetic to this. It is right that we honor the LORD. The Authorised Version of the Bible does not use a capital letter H.

The challenge we face is in relation to God the Word, Jesus Christ, Jesus the Anointed One. He is God the Word made flesh. He is the second person of the Trinity.

Do we therefore give Jesus a capital H in the pronoun 'He'?

What do people think about this?

Fill instead of Replenish in Genesis 1:28

I agree. Malah (-LM in hebrew) means 'fill'.

Here is the amended verse in Genesis 1.28:

El’ohim blessed them, and El’ohim said to them, “Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the Earth, and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over everything that moves on Earth”.

honor of the LORD

Ed makes, I believe, an essential point concerning apporpriate honor of the LORD. I have asked him to edit the text to replace 'he' with 'He' in all references to El'ohim in the third person pronoun.

Ed has, very kindly, offered to proof-read the text of Genesis.

This is a very helpful suggestion.

proof-reading the Gospel according to Matthew

Dear friends,

I am still looking for co-workers to co-labor in translating the Bible from the Received Text into 21st century US spoken English. A couple of translators are encouraging me currently, and I have been introduced to a translators' bulletin board which is helpful.

I have the Gospel according to Matthew translated from the Received Text into 21st century US spoken English as a first draft. Please email me if you are willing to proof-read or edit this first draft - whether just a clapter, or the whole Gospel according to Matthew. My email address is

[email protected]

Please do not be discouraged if I do not reply immediately.

Also, even if you are unable or unwilling to proof-read or edit, please let me know your thoughts, comments, feedback. Criticism, even if harsh, is very helpful. Accountability in this work is of paramount importance. It is vital to recognise our fallibility and the extreme danger of tampering - whether by design or by foolish omission or even thru scriptorial mistake - with the infallible and inerrant Word of God.

In Christ Jesus,

Nigel

Matthew 1.18 The New Covenant page 2

1.18 Now the birth of Jesus 1 the Anointed-One was in this way - when his mother Mary 2 was engaged to Josef 3, before they came together she was found with child from the Holy Spirit. 1.19 Then her husband Josef, being just, and unwilling to make a public example of her, thought about sending her away secretly, 1.20 but while he was thinking about these issues - see, the Angel of the Lord shone at him in a dream saying, “Josef, you son of David 4, don’t be afraid of taking Mary to yourself as your wife, because what is fathered in her is from the Holy Spirit, 1.21 and she will bring forth a son and you will call his name Jesus because he will save his people from their sins”. 1.22 Now all this was done so what was spoken by the prophet of the Lord could be fulfilled, saying, Isaiah 7.14 1.23 “Look, a virgin will be with child, and will bring forth a son, and they will call his name Imanu’El 5 that translates ‘God with us’”. 1.24 Then Josef, raised from sleep, did like the Angel of the Lord ordered him, and took his wife to himself, 1.25 and he was not intimate with her until she had brought forth her firstborn son, and he called his name Jesus. 2.1 Now when Jesus was born in Beit’lehem 6 in Judea 7 in the days of Herod 8 the king, see - there came wise men from the east, to Jerusalem 9 2.2 saying, “Where is he who is born king of the Jewish people? Because we’ve seen his star in the east and we’ve come to worship him”. 2.3 When Herod the king heard, he and all Jerusalem with him were troubled, 2.4 and when he’d gathered all the Chief Priests and writers 10 of the people together, he demanded from them where the Anointed-One would be born.

2.5 So they answered him, “In Beit’lehem 6 in Judea 7, because so it is written by the prophet, Micah 5.2 2.6 “And you Beit’lehem, the land of Judah aren’t the least among the chiefs of Judah, because a leader will come out from you who will rule my people Isra’El 11”. 2.7 When Herod 8 called the wise men secretly, he asked from them exactly what time the star shone, 2.8 and he sent them to Beit’lehem and said, “Go and search diligently for the young child, and when you’ve found him, bring me back word so I can worship him too”. 2.9 When they heard the king they left and hey, the star they’d seen in the east went ahead of them until it came and stood over where the young child was. 2.10 When they saw the star they were really glad with extremely great joy, 2.11 and when they came into the house they saw the young child with his mother Mary 2, and they fell down and worshipped him and when they opened their treasures they presented gifts to him - gold, frankincense and myrrh 12. 2.12 They returned to their own country by another route having been warned in a dream that they shouldn’t return to Herod. 2.13 When they left, look - the Angel of the Lord shone at Josef 3 in a dream saying, “Get up and take the young child and his mom and flee to Egypt - and you stay there till I bring word to you, because Herod will seek out the young child to destroy him”.

proof-reading the Gospel according to Mark

Dear Friends,

here is the first draft of the Gospel according to Mark, translated from the Received Text.

Please do not be shy in voicing any criticism - even if you are not of the persuasion that the Received Text is the inerrant Word of God. I believe in accountability - and that accountability must be of a very high order when handling the Word of God.

If you are able to proof-read or edit all or part of this Gospel, please contact me by email -

[email protected]

Even if you are not able to do so, please at have a look at a sample of the draft that I include below and please feel free to comment in any way.

in Christ Jesus,

Nigel

Mark 2.6 The New Covenant page 47

2.6 but there was some of the writers 1 sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts, 2.7 “So why does this one speak blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”, 2.8 and immediately when Jesus 2 discerned in his spirit that they were reasoning in themselves, he said to them, “Why do you reason these things in your hearts? 2.9 Is it easier to tell the paralyzed man, “Your sins are forgiven you”, or to say, “Get up, and take up your bed, and walk?”. 2.10 but so you can know that the Son of man has power on earth to forgive sins, (he said to the paralyzed man,) 2.11 I’m telling you, get up, and take up your bed, and go on your way back to your house”, 2.12 and immediately he got up, took up the bed, and came forward before them all, so much so that they were all amazed and glorified God, saying, “We never saw it in this way”, 2.13 and he went out again by the sea side, and all the crowd came to him, and he taught them, 2.14 and as he passed by, he saw Alfaeus’s Levi 3 sitting collecting tax, and he said to him, “Follow me”, and he got up and followed him. 2.15 While he was sat at table in his house, many tax collectors and sinners sat together with Jesus and his students too, because there were many, and they followed him, 2.16 and when the writers and farisees 4 saw him eat with tax collectors and sinners, they said to his students, “How is it that he eats and drinks with tax collectors and sinners?”. 2.17 When Jesus heard he said to them, “Those who are whole don’t need the medical doctor, but those who are sick. I didn’t come to call the just and upright, but sinners, to a turn and change of their heart and their thinking”.

2.18 So the students of John 5 and of the farisees 4 used to avoid eating and they came and said to him, “Why do the students of John and of the farisees avoid eating, but your students don’t avoid eating?”, 2.19 and Jesus 2 said to them, “Can the children of the bridal bedroom avoid eating while the groom is with them? As long as they have the groom with them, they can’t avoid eating, 2.20 but the days will come when the groom will be taken away from them, and then they’ll avoid eating in those days. 2.21 Also, no man sews a piece of new cloth on an old garment or else the new piece that filled it up pulls away from the old and the tear is made worse, 2.22 and no man puts new wine into old wine skins or else the new wine bursts the wine skins, and the wine is spilled, and the wine skins will be destroyed but new wine must be put into new wine skins.

2.23 So he went thru the corn fields on the Sabbath, and his students began, like they were in the habit, to pluck the ears of corn. 2,24 and the farisees 4 said to him, “ Look - why do they on the Sabbath that that’s unlawful?”, 2.25 and he said to them, “Have you never read what David 6 did when he had need and he was hungry - he and those who were with him?

Mark 2.26 The New Covenant page 48

2.26 “how he went into the house of God in the days of the High Priest Avi’athar 1, and he ate the Leviticus 24.9 showbread, that’s unlawful to eat except for the priests, and he gave to them too who were with him?”, 2.27 and he said to them, “The sabbath was made because of man, and not man because of the sabbath. 2.28 So the Son of man is Lord of the sabbath too”, 3.1 and he entered the synagogue again, and there was a man there who had a withered hand, 3.2 and they watched him, if he'd heal him on the Sabbath, so they could accuse him, 3.3 and he said to the man who had the withered hand, “Stand up”, 3.4 and he said to them, “Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbaths or to do evil? To save life or to kill?”, but they held their peace, 3.5 and when he’d looked round about them with anger, upset because of the hardness of their hearts, he said to the man, “Stretch out your hand”, and he stretched it out and his hand was restored whole like the other one. 3.6 Then the farisees 2 went out, and immediately took counsel with the Herodians 3 against him to destroy him, 3.7 but Jesus 4 withdrew with his students to the sea and a great crowd from Galilee 5 followed him, and from Judaea 6, 3.8 and from Jerusalem 7, and from Idumaea 8, and beyond Jordan 9, and those around Tyre and Sidon, a great crowd came to him when they’d heard what great things he did, 3.9 and he told his students, that a small ship should wait for him because of the crowd, to avoid them crowding him, 3.10 because he’d healed many, so much so that they crowded upon him to touch him - as many as had plagues 3.11 and impure spirits, when they saw him, fell down in front of him and shouted out, “You’re the Son of God”, 3.12 and he was indignant with them, that they shouldn’t make him known.

3.13 Then he went up into a mountain, and called who he determined and they came to him, 3.14 and he made 12, so they should be with him, and he could send them out to preach 3.15 and have power to heal sicknesses and throw out demons, 3.16 and Simon 10, he surnamed Peter 11, 3.17 and Zebedee’s 12 Jacob 13, and Jacob’s brother John 14, and gave them the name Boanerges, that’s ‘The Sons Of Thunder’ 3.18 and Andrew 15, and Philip 16 and Bartholomew 17, and Matthew 18, and Thomas 19, and Alfaeus’s Jacob and Thaddaeus 20, and Simon the Canaanite 21, 3.19 and Judas 6 Iscariot who also betrayed him and they went into a house, 3.20 and the crowd came together again, so they couldn’t so much as eat bread, 3.21 and when his friends heard, they went out to lay hold of him because they said, ““He’s beside himself”, 3.22 and the writers 22 who came down from Jerusalem 7 said, “He has Ba’al’zebub 23, and by the head authority of the demons he throws out demons”,

Luke 5.9 The New Covenant page 83

5.31 and Jesus 1 answered them, “Those who are whole don’t need a medical doctor, but those who are sick. 5.32 I didn’t come to call the just and upright, but sinners, to a turn and change of their hearts and their thinking”, 5.33 and they said to him, “Why do the students of John 2 regularly avoid eating, and say prayers, and in the same way the students of the farisees [Pious Insiders] do, but yours eat and drink?”, 5.34 and he said to them, “Can you make the children of the bridal bedroom avoid eating while the groom is with them? 5.35 But the days will come when the groom will be taken away from them, and then they’ll avoid eating in those days”, 5.36 and he told them a parable too - “No man sews a piece of a new sloth onto an old piece, or otherwise both the new makes a tear, and the piece taken out of the new doesn’t fit with the old one, 5.37 and no man puts new wine into old wine skins, or else the new wine will burst the wine skins and be spilled, and the wine skins will perish, 5.38 but new wine has to be put into new wine skins, and both are preserved. 5.39 Also, no man having drunk old wine immediately wants the new, because he says, “The old is better”.

6.1 Then on the 2nd sabbath after the first, he went thru the wheat fields, and his students plucked the ears of wheat, and they ate, rubbing them in their hands, 6.2 and some of the farisees 3 said to them, “ Why do you what’s unlawful to do on the Sabbaths?”, 6.3 and Jesus 1 replied to them, “Haven’t you read what David 4 did, when himself was hungry, and those who were with him, 6.4 “how he went into God’s house, and he took and ate the Leviticus 24.9 showbread, and gave those who were with him too - so is it unlawful to eat except for the priests only?”, 6.5 and he said to them, “The Son of man is Lord of the Sabbath too”, 6.6 and on another sabbath too, he entered the synagogue and taught, and a man was there whose right hand was withered, 6.7 and the writers 5 and farisees were watching him to see if he was going to heal on the Sabbath, so they could find an accusation against him, 6.8 but he knew their thoughts, and he said to the man who had the withered hand, “Get up and stand out in the middle”, and he got up and stood out.

6.9 Then Jesus 1 said to them, “I’ll ask you one thing - is it lawful on the Sabbaths to do good or evil? to save life or destroy?”, 6.10 and looking around at them all, he said to the man, “Stretch out your hand”, and he did so, and his hand was restored whole like the other, 6.11 and they were filled with madness, and they talked with one another about what they could do to Jesus.

6.12 So in those days, he went up a mountain to pray, and he continued all night in prayer to God, 6.13 and when it was day, he called his students, and he chose 12 of them who he named sent-ones too - 6.14 Simon 6 he named Peter 7 too, and his brother Andrew 8, Jacob 9 and John 10, Philip 11 and Bartholomew 12

Luke 6.15 The New Covenant page 84

6.15 Matthew 1 and Thomas 2, Jacob 3 the Son of Alfaeus, and Simon 4 called Zelotes 5, 6.16 and Judas 6 of Jacob, and Judas Iscariot who was also the traitor, 6.17 and he came down with them, and he and the group of his students stood in the valley, and a great crowd of people and those tormented by impure spirits came out to hear him and be healed of their diseases, from all Judaea 6 and Jerusalem 7 and from the sea shore of Tyre and Sidon, 6.18 and they were healed, 6.19 and the whole crowd were trying to touch him, because power went out of him and healed everyone.

6.20 Then he lifted up his eyes on his students and said, “Blessed are you poor, because the Kingdom of God is yours. 6.21 Blessed are you who hunger now, because you’ll be filled. Blessed are you who weep now, because you’ll laugh. 6.22 Blessed are you when men will hate you, and when they cut you off and reproach, and throw out your name as evil, for the sake of the Son of man. 6.23 You - rejoice on that day and leap for joy, because see your great reward in Heaven, because in the same way their fathers did to the prophets, 6.24 but woe to you who are rich, because you haven’t received your consolation.

6.25 “Woe to you who are full, because you’ll hunger. Woe to you who laugh now, because you’ll mourn and weep. 6.26 Woe to you when all men will speak well of you, because so did their fathers to the false prophets, 6.27 but I’m telling you who are listening, Love your enemies. Do good to those who hate you”. 6.28 Bless those who curse you and pray for those who despise you, 6.29 and offer the other cheek, too, to him who hits you on the one cheek, and don’t forbid your coat to him who pulls away your cloak too. 6.30 Give to every man who asks from you, and don’t ask again from him who takes away your property, 6.31 and as you want men to treat you, you treat them in the same way too, 6.32 because if you love those who love you, what favor do you have, because sinners love those who love them too? 6.33 and if you do good to those who do good to you, what favor do you have, because sinners also do just the same? 6.34 and if you lend to those you hope to receive from, what favor do you have, because sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again? 6.35 But love your enemies and do good, and lend hoping for nothing back, and your reward will be great, and you’ll be the children of the Highest, because he’s kind to the ungrateful and the evil.

6.36 “Be as full of mercy as your Father is full of mercy too. 6.37 Don’t judge and you won’t be judged. Don’t condemn and you won’t be condemned. Forgive, and you’ll be forgiven. 6.38 Give, and it will be given to you, good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over - men will give into your lap, because with the same measure you give out it will be measured back to you”.

Message of Good News according to John

1.1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 1.2 He was in the beginning with God. 1.3 All things were made by him, and nothing that was created was created apart from him. 1.4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men, 1.5 and the light shines in darkness, and the darkness didn’t comprehend it.

1.6 There was a man sent from God whose name was John 1. 1.7 He came as a witness, to testify about the Light so all men can have faith thru him - 1.8 he wasn’t that Light but he was sent to testify about that Light.

1.9 That was the true Light who lights every man, who came into the world. 1.10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world didn’t know him. 1.11 He came to his own, and his own didn’t welcome him, 1.12 but he gave power to as many as welcomed him, to become the sons of God - even to those who have faith in his name, 1.13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God, 1.14 and the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us (and we saw his glory, the glory as of the only-begotten of the Father) full of favor and truth.

1.15 John 1 testified about him and shouted out, “This was the one I spoke about. The one who comes after me is preferred before me, because he was before me”, 1.16 and we’ve all received from his fullness, and favor before favor, 1.17 because the Law 2 was given by Moses 3, but favor and truth came thru Jesus 4 the Anointed-One. 1.18 No man has seen God at any time. The only-begotten Son, who is in the Father’s lap, has made him known, 1.19 and this is John's testimony - when the Jews sent priests and Levites 5 from Jerusalem 6 to ask him, “Who are you?”, 1.20 and he confessed, and he didn’t deny, but he confessed, “I’m not the Anointed-One”, 1.21 and they asked him, “What then? Are you Eli’yah 7?”, and he said, “I’m not” – “Are you that prophet?”, and he answered, “No”. 1.22 Then they said to him, “Who are you, so we can give an answer to those who sent us? What do you say about yourself?”. 1.23 He said, Isaiah 40.3 “I’m the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord”, as the prophet Isaiah 8 spoke”, 1.24 and the ones sent were from the farisees 9, 1.25 and they asked him, “Then why do you immerse if you’re not the Anointed-One or Eli’yah, or that prophet?” 1.26 John answered them, “I immerse with water, but one stands among you who you don’t know. 1.27 It’s the one coming after me who is preferred before me - I’m unworthy to untie his sandal strap”.

John 1.28 The New Covenant page 121

1.28 This was done in Beit’abara 1 across the Jordan 2 where John 3 was immersing. 1.29 The next day John saw Jesus 4 coming to him, and he said, “See - the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world. 1.30 This is the one I spoke about - “After me comes a man who’s preferred before me, because he was before me, 1.31 and I didn’t know him, but I’ve come immersing with water so he could appear to Isra’El 5”, 1.32 and John testified, “I saw the Spirit coming down from Heaven like a dove, and it rested on him. 1.33 and I didn’t know him, but the one who sent me to immerse with water said to me, “The one you see the Spirit coming down and staying on is the one who immerses with the Holy Spirit”, 1.34 and I saw and I testified this is the Son of God”. 1.35 Again the next day, John was standing with a couple of his students, 1.36 and looking at Jesus while he was walking, he said, “See - the Lamb of God!”, 1.37 and the 2 students heard him speak, and they followed Jesus. 1.38 Then Jesus turned and saw them following, and he said to them, “Who are you looking for?”. They said to him, “Rabbi - translated ‘Teacher’ - where are you living?” 1.39 He said to them, “Come and see”. They came and saw where he was living, and they stayed with him that day, because It was around the 10th hour 6. 1.40 One of the 2 who heard John speak and followed him was Andrew 7, brother of Simon 8 Peter 9. 1.41 He first found his own brother Simon and he said to him, “We’ve found the Messiah - translated ‘the Anointed-One’ - 1.42 and he brought him to Jesus and when Jesus saw him, he said, “You’re Simon the son of Jonah, you’ll be called Kefas - translated ‘a stone’.

1.43 The following day Jesus 4 was determined to go out into Galilee 10, and he found Philip 11 and he said to him, “Follow me”. 1.44 Now Philip was from Beit’saida 12, the city of Andrew 7 and Peter 9.

1.45 Philip 11 found Nathana’El 13, and he said to him, “We’ve found the one Moses 14 in the Law 15, and the prophets wrote about - Jesus 4 of Nazaret 16, the son of Josef 17”, 1.46 and Nathana’El said to him, “Can any good thing come out of Nazaret?” Philip said to him, “Come and see”. 1.47 Jesus saw Nathana’El coming to him, and he spoke about him, “See - a true Israelite, who there’s no deceit in!”. 1.48 Nathana’El said to him, “Where do you know me?”. Jesus replied to him, “Before Philip called you, I saw you when you were under the fig tree”. 1.49 Nathana’El replied to him, “Rabbi 18, you’re the Son of God. You’re the King of Isra’El 19”. 1.50 Jesus replied to him, “Because I’m telling you I saw you under the fig tree, don’t you have faith? You’ll see greater things than this”,

1.51 and he said to him, “Amen 20 Amen, I’m telling you from now on you’re going to see Heaven open, and the angels of God going up and coming down on the Son of man”.

Ephesians 3.10 The New Covenant page Ep.3

Jesus 1 the Anointed-One, 3.10 to the intent that now the multi-faceted wisdom of God could be made known by the Church to the principalities and powers in the heavens, 3.11 according to the eternal purpose that he purposed in the Anointed-One Jesus our Lord. 3.12 In him we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him. 3.13 So I do not want you to faint at my trials for you, that is your glory. 3.14 For this reason I bend my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus the Anointed-One, 3.15 of whom the whole family in Heaven and Earth is named, 3.16 So that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man, 3.17 so that the Anointed-One may live in your hearts by faith. And you, being rooted and grounded in love, 3.18 can be able to understand with all the holy ones what the width and length and depth and height is, 3.19 and know the love of the Anointed-One that passes knowledge, so you can be filled with all the fullness of God. 3.20 Now to him who is able to do extremely abundantly beyond all we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 3.21 to him be glory in the Church through the Anointed-One Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen 2.

4.1 So I, the prisoner of the Lord, plead with you that you walk worthy of the calling which you were called in, 4.2 with all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, 4.3 endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4.4 One body, and one Spirit - just as you are called in one hope of your calling. 4.5 One Lord, one faith, one immersion, 4.6 one God and Father of all, above all, and through all, and in you all, 4.7 But favor is given to everyone of us according to the measure of the gift of the Anointed-One. 4.8 So he says, “When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts to men” - 4.9 now he ascended, what is it but that he descended also first into the lower parts of the Earth? 4.10 He who descended is the same one also who ascended up far above all heavens, so that he could fill everything - 4.11 and he gave some to be sent ones, and some to be prophets, and some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, 4.12 for the perfecting of the holy ones, for the work of serving, for the building up of the body of the Anointed-One, 4.13 until we all come into the unity of the faith, and the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Anointed-One, 4.14 so that from now on we are no longer children, tossed about, and blown around by every wind of teaching, by the skill of man, cunning craftiness, where they lie in wait to deceive, 4.15 but speaking the truth in love we may grow up in him, the head, the Anointed-One, 4.16 from whom the whole body causes increase to the body in building itself up in love, snugly fitted together and compacted by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working in the measure of every part. 4.17 So I’m saying this and testifying in the Lord, that you do not walk from now on like other Nations walk, in the flattery of their mind, 4.18 having the understanding darkened, alienated from the life of God through the ignorance in them because of

Ephesians 4.19 The New Covenant page Ep.4

the blindness of their heart, 4.19 who, past feeling, have given themselves over to lust to work all uncleanness with greediness - 4.20 but you haven’t learned from the Anointed-One like this. 4.21 So if you’ve heard him and been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus 1, 4.22 so you throw off the old man regarding the previous way of talking, that is foul according to the deceitful lusts, 4.23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 4.24 and put on the new man made according to God in righteousness and true holiness. 4.25 So - throwing away lying, every man must speak truth with his neighbor, because we are members one of another. 4.26 Be angry - and don't sin. Don't let the sun go down on your anger, 4.27 and don't give room for the devil. 4.28 Let him who stole, steal no longer, but instead let him work, working by hand the thing that is good, to have something he can give to the needy one. 4.29 Let no foul language come out of your mouth, but only what is good for building up so it can serve favor to the hearers. 4.30 Don’t upset the Spirit of God, by whom you are sealed to the day of redemption. 4.31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, evil speaking be thrown away from you, together with all malice, 4.32 and be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another just as God has forgiven you for the sake of the Anointed-One.

5.1 Be followers of God, like dear children, 5.2 and walk in love, just as the Anointed-One has loved us too, and given himself for us as an offering and sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savor, 5.3 but don't let sex outside marriage, or coveting, be named among you as suits holy ones, 5.4 neither filthiness nor foolish talking nor joking - not appropriate. But, instead, give thanks, 5.5 because you know that no pimp or impure person or covetous man or idol worshipper has any inheritance in the kingdom of the Anointed-One and God. 5.6 Don’t let any man deceive you with flattering words, because God's anger is coming on the children of God due to these things. 5.7 So don't take part in them, 5.8 because you were once darkness, but now light in the Lord. Walk like children of light - 5.9 because the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth - 5.10 proving what is acceptable to the Lord, 5.11 and have no friendship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead reject, 5.12 because it is gross to even speak about those things that are done by them in secret, 5.13 but everything rejected is made plain by the light, because whatever is made plain is light. 5.14 So he says, “Wake up you sleeper, and rise up from the dead, and the Anointed-One will give you light”. 5.15 See then that you walk carefully, not like fools, but like wise people, 5.16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 5.17 So do not be unwise, but understand the will of the Lord, 5.18 and don’t get drunk, in which there is excess, but be filled with the Spirit, 5.19 speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making music in your heart to the Lord, 5.20 always giving thanks for everything to God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus 1 the Anointed-One, 5.21 submitting yourselves to one another in the fear of the God.

GALATIANS

1.1 Paul 1, a sent one - not of men, nor by man, but by Jesus 2 the Anointed-One, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead), 1.2 and all the brothers with me, to the congregations in Galatia 3 -

1.3 favor and peace to you from God the Father and our Lord Jesus 2 the Anointed-One, 1.4 who gave himself for our sins so he could deliver us from this present evil world according to the will of God and our Father. 1.5 Glory to him for ever and ever. Amen 4.

1.6 I wonder how you’ve moved away so soon - from him who called you into the Anointed-One’s favor - and into another message of good news, 1.7 that is not another, but there are some who trouble you, and would pervert the message of good news of the Anointed-One. 1.8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other message of good news to you apart from what we've preached to you, let him be cursed. 1.9 As we said before, so now I say again, if anyone preach any other message of good news to you than what you have accepted, let him be cursed. 1.10 Because do I now persuade men or God? Or do I seek to please men? Because if I still pleased men, I wouldn’t be the Anointed-One’s slave.

1.11 But I certify to you, brothers, that the message of good news preached by me is not according to man, 1.12 because I did not receive it from man, nor was I taught, except by the revelation of Jesus 2 the Anointed-One, 1.13 because you’ve heard of my participating in the Jewish religion, how I persecuted the God’s congregation beyond measure and wasted it, 1.14 and profited in the Jewish religion beyond many of my equals in my own nation, being extremely zealous for the traditions of my fathers.

1.15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me on account of his favor, 1.16 to reveal his Son in me, so I could preach him among the heathen. Immediately I did not confer with flesh and blood, 1.17 neither did I go up to Jerusalem 5 to those who were sent ones before me. Instead I went into Arabia, and returned again to Damascus. 1.18 Then after 3 years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter 6, and I stayed 15 days with him, 1.19 But I did not see the other sent ones apart from Jacob 7, the Lord’s brother. 1.20 Now look, I am not lying about the things I write to you. 1.21 Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria, and Cilicia, 1.22 and I was not known by face to the congregations of Judea that were in the Anointed-One, 1.23 but they only heard that he who persecuted us in times past now preached the faith he once destroyed, 1.24 and they glorified God in me.

Galatians 2.1 The New Covenant page Ga.2

2.1 Then 14 years later I went up to Jerusalem 1 again with Bar’nabas 2, and I took Titus 3 too. 2.2 And I went up by revelation, and communicated to them the message of good news I preach among the Nations, but in private to them unless I should run or had run for nothing by any means. 2.3 But Titus who was with me, being a greek, was not forced to have his foreskin cut. 2.4 But false brothers brought in unawares, came secretly to spy on our freedom that we have in the Anointed-One Jesus 4 to bring us into slavery. 2.5 We gave no place to them by subjecting ourselves, no, not for one hour, so the truth of the message of good news could continue with you. 2.6 But they seemed to be somebody (whatever they were, it does not matter to me - God accepts no man’s person) because they added nothing to me, who seemed to be in conference. 2.7 On the contrary, when they saw the message of good news of not cutting the foreskin was committed to me, unlike the message cutting of the foreskin was to Peter 5 2.8 (because he who worked effectively in Peter, to be a sent one to those who cut the foreskin, was the same one mighty in me towards the Nations).

2.9 And when Jacob 6, Kefas 5 and John 7, who appeared to be pillars, saw the favor given to me, they gave me and Barnabas 2 the right hands of fellowship, to go to the heathen and they to those who cut the foreskin, 2.10 except we should remember the poor, that I was intending to do anyway.

2.11 But when Peter 5 came to Antioch 8 I stood up to his face, because he was in the wrong, 2.12 Because before some people came from Jacob 6 he ate with the Nations, but when they came he withdrew and separated himself, fearing those who cut the foreskin, 2.13 and some other Jewish people with him concealed their behavior in the same way - even Barnabas 2 was carried away with their concealing behavior.

2.14 But when I saw they did not walk upright according to the truth of the message of good news, I said to Peter 5 in front of everyone, “If you, being Jewish, live according to the lifestyle of the Nations, and not like the Jewish people, why do you force the Nations to live like the Jewish people? 2.15 We, Jewish by nature, not wrongdoers from the Nations, 2.16 knowing a man is not made right by the actions of the Law but instead by the faith of Jesus 4 the Anointed-One, even we have believed in Jesus the Anointed-One so we could be made right by the faith of the Anointed-One and not by the actions of the Law 9 - because no flesh will be made right by the actions of the Law. 2.17 But if we are found to be sinners too, while we are seeking to be made right by the Anointed-One, is the Anointed-One therefore the servant of sin? God forbid. 2.18 Because if I build again the things I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor, 2.19 Because I am dead to the Law

Acts 2.17 The New Covenant page 157

“your sons and your daughters will prophesy, and your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams, 2.18 and I’m going to pour out my Spirit on my male slaves and on my female slaves in those days and they’ll prophesy, 2.19 and I’m going to give wonders in Heaven above and signs on the Earth beneath - blood, and fire, and smoke vapor. 2.20 The sun will be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the great and memorable Day of the Lord comes, 2.21 and then whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved”. 2.22 You men of Isra’El 1, hear these words, Jesus 2 of Nazaret 3, a man approved by God among you, by miracles and wonders and signs, that God did thru him among you as you yourselves also know. 2.23 “You took him - handed over by the determined counsel and prior knowledge of God, and nailed him to a cross and killed him with wicked hands. 2.24 God has raised him up, having loosed the pains of death, because it wasn’t possible for him to be held by it, 2.25 because David 4 speaks about him, Psalm 16.8 “I saw the Lord ahead of time, in front of my face all the time. I won’t be moved, because he’s on my right hand. 2.26 So my heart was glad, and my tongue jumped for joy, and yet my flesh rested in hope 2.27 because you don’t want to leave my soul in Hell, Now will you give your Holy One to know decay. 2.28 You’ve made the ways of life known to me. You’ll make me full of gladness with your presence”.

2.29 “Men and brothers, let me speak freely to you about David 4, the governing father who’s dead and buried and his tomb is with us to this day. 2.30 So, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that from the fruit of his reproductive organs according to the flesh, he’d raise up the Anointed-One to sit on his throne, 2.31 Seeing this ahead of time, he spoke about the raising from the dead of the Anointed-One - that his soul wasn’t left in Hell, nor did his flesh know decay. 2.32 God has raised up this Jesus 2 who we’re all witnesses of. 2.33 So, lifted up by God’s right hand, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit - he’s poured this out so you now see and hear, 2.34 because David wasn’t lifted up into the Heavens, but he said himself, Psalm 110.1 “The Lord said to my Lord, Sit on my right hand, 2.35 until I make your enemies your footstool”. 2.36 So let all the house of Isra’El 1 know for sure that God has made the same Jesus, who you nailed to a cross, Lord and The Anointed-One”. 2.37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and they said to Peter 5 and the rest of the sent-ones, “Men and brothers, what shall we do?” 2.38 Then Peter said to them, “Turn and change your heart and your thinking, and be immersed every one of you in the name of Jesus the Anointed-One for the pardon for sins, “and you’ll receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, 2.39 because of the promise is to you and your children, and all who are far off - just as many as the Lord our God will call”, 2.40 and he testified and invite them with many other words, saying, “Save yourselves from this crooked generation”. 2.41 Then those who welcomed his word gladly were immersed, and that same day around 3,000 souls were added to them, 2.42 and they persevered
