McCarver is the worst and I have to suffer through Joe Buck and Troy Aikman on many Cowboys games. They are inescapable.

McCarver-isms to keep an ear out for:

"If Panik gets on base and Belt belts a home run, the Royals are liable to panic."

"Shields has retired 19 batters through 6 1/3 innings. He's having a great night." [How many batters should a pitcher retire in 6 1/3 innings, Tim?]

"It's starting to rain now. The infield could be wet on groundballs."

"Sandoval walks too much. He's always clogging up the bases with all that walking."

"You see Ishikawa talking to Baumgartner with his glove in front of his face because Aoki can lip read Japanese."

"There's a huge difference trying to hit with a count of two balls and one strike, versus hitting with a one strike and two balls."

"One thing about playing outfield, you've got to catch the ball before it hits the ground."

"I'd be shocked if <fill in relief pitcher's name, only guy warming up in the bullpen> didn't come into the game right now."

At least McCarver is retired I think! Not much of a baseball fan!
