This is Locked

Hey,
Good to meet ya. I stayed in and around Paducah a few years ago, about 2000. I was on a telephone expansion job in Fancy Farm.

I did see where Rand Paul is running for Ky. Senate. I have been following some of his statements. I think it is sad that Jim Bunning felt pressured to not run again. I feel this way simply because I think our political system has established a 'means produces the ends' structure. By that, to translate to English, I mean our public servants' offices are fundamentally up for the highest bidder.

In the politics and Current Events forums there is a three page limit, so the threads get closed rather quickly any way. Lady Eagle is not a moderator in this forum, and therefore cannot close this thread. With the "I dare you" implication of the title, I probably should have closed the thread. I have the right as a moderator to close the thread anytime I see it go off course, any time that it degenerates into a name-calling fest or any such similar thing. I tend to be more lenient than others. Also, the page limit here is far greater. I allow topics here (as long as they don't stray too far off topic) to go up to 30 pages. The reason: one can have a good spirited debate about a theological topic or doctrine. But in current events or politics, the "current" event is often not "current" after a couple of days or three pages of posting, and thus is closed.
