Not to change the subject tiny (take a break and then come back, that is what I do when I get frustrated or too busy to keep posting).

BUT, we have a facebook group?

Cool, I will have to find it.

OK, as another Southern Baptist friend, I vote NO.

Just ignore those idiots (can I say that??). That's what I have to do too.

Take a break - call it a vacation!!

If you do feel a need to move on, let me know where you move to.

I took a break from here for many of the same reasons you have listed. I stayed away for a few months and recently came back first to lurk and then to sometimes post. I put some rules for myself like only read the original post and comment on that. Also to not keep coming back to defend what I've said or debate what is being said.

So taking a break may be a good thing. I know it added an extra hour to my day.

I logged back in for this post.. (I had never logged out untill last night.. I even forgot my password!!! lol)

First of all, thank you for your kind words.. It is nice to be appreciated.
I am not going far... I have prayed and decided to stay logged out... that way I can read, but not be tempted to post.
I will still be around the fellowship forums.. and if something IMPORTANT comes up... I won't hesitate to post in debate.

But I am definately cutting back. Just as a test, if nothing else.

And here is the facebook for Baptistboard members.. http://www.facebook.com/groups.php?ref=sb#/group.php?gid=29301493888

You can read about it here.. http://www.baptistboard.com/showthread.php?t=39230

I would encourage all my BB friends to join.. it is a fun place.

So after this post I am logging out... but I will still be watching!!!

So rbell, don't do anything I wouldn't do...
    And I LOVE YOU ALL!

Tim, get a grip and grow up :D

I had a 10 day vacation from the BB once, other than that, I have never let the posters or the subjects get that far under my skin. Oh, there have been some that have gotten pretty close, one led to my vacation (the most vulgar, filthy PM to me...and publicly making fun of another BB member's weight), some of been banned, and other continue to try, but you have to remember, when someone can't see your face, it it easy to say things that wouldn't normally be said face to face.

Hope your sabatical is a short one. Now I know you are reading these, and not posting, I can say whatever I want to about you

    Tim,

I'm fairly new here but have always enjoyed your post. Agree or disagree with you stance, they have always been interesting to read. Hope you come back soon.

As for some of the beliefs and anger on the boards, I almost left the first day or two here. But after some reconsideration I have come to the conclussion that (I know you can't say this) many are just not saved. So I approach them the same as I do an unsaved person in the church.

    Hope you return soon.

Could it be that alot of what you're complaining about is what you need to examine in yourself ? That is what I have heard some very eloquent observers to say, it is too often true for my liking. I'm sure you might not like it either, especially since I am the one who said it!:tongue3:

Why say "good-bye to BB, it is a mission field in and of itsself!:flower:

I have found it to be true more often than not, when a person accuses another of self-righteousness it is because they themselves have a problem with it more than anyone else.

...and now a false accuser. Keep it up!

I'll stand by my statement since you stated "That is what I have heard some very eloquent observers to say, it is too often true for my liking. I'm sure you might not like it either, especially since I am the one who said it!:tongue3:"
