Why don't you actually deal with the answers given to you, like the one I posted above? It seems like you are here to only find views that supplement yours, is that it? Yes or no answer only

I did give an answer that included both yes and no. How do you deal with that?

 

There is no fear....however you concern me that there are deeper issues that your keeping silent about. Like you I have lived with alcoholism all around me so I can also feel it when it rears its ugly head.

you've read my testimony by now, both my Brother & my Wife are in recovery programs. That kept us from having more children & brought us to the brink a few times. My father & his father were alcoholics. so is my wife's sister & mother. We are working with my sister in law because her husband is one also & they are now going thru divorce.

Do you think for one moment that I am not sympathetic or that I would do anything to mess up another person. Rather I have dedicated most of my life to working with them, begging & pleading with them not to drink. Now as God is my witness, you tell me whats troubling you! Are you drinking again?

Are you saying, EWF that servent is an alcoholic? It certainly looks that way. Do you think that's cool for you to act like that?

Do you think all these on this posts are alcoholics for real, and hiding it, like you said?

Also...my family, on my Dad's side were all alcoholics, accept for one uncle. However, I never knew any of them, since my parents divorced when I was 3, for his drinking problem. I spent about 6 months with my Dad, always drunk, and I recall him holding up a quart of Miller, and telling me, drunk, that beer is his best friend.

 

Yes, it would bother me.

I would go to them and ask forgiveness, I would repent, and I would examine whatever it is that I did to cause them to stumble to see if it was a momentary lapse, an ongoing pattern or behavior, or an idol.

 

Paul said that if meat offends my brother I will eat no meat. That is to be the heart of a Christian. We are to give up our liberties for the weak faith of another.

 

You poor tough guy. Now I understand you. All those years trying to live up to being a Miller? Tough break tough guy.

 

Web, this is wise advice. It can be a teachable moment for that brother.

 

S.....All Im trying to say to you is your not alone out there. As you can see by other comments, others have bee hurt as well. There are friends here for you.
