    i am new here,didn't really know what to expect... i've been independant,ABA,BMA&now SBC. don't know what all the fuss is about? thought we were supposed to be uplifting each other? ain't it hard enough out there in the real world?
    by the way i have a hard time remembering where i've been,do i need to keep a pen & pad handy? would like to see if i get any responce at all...

    On the Baptist Board, you will find all kinds of Baptists. As I was on vacation for the past five days, I was unable to access the internet and keep an eye on the forum. I apologize for some of the ugliness that occurred here. I am, however, determined to bring about civil discussion here in this forum. This is my goal. I need your help to accomplish this goal. Here is how everyone can help:

    1. If having a civil discussion is not your goal and you would rather insult people and make personal attacks on others, please leave and find another board. I know this seems harsh, but we cannot constantly fight against each other with conflicting agendas and if you continue the insults, we, the administration of this board, will show you out for good.

    2. Please, when you find an offensive post in this forum, click on the "Report Post" Icon and let me know. If I am not around, then this system will also send a moderator's alert to the webmaster and to "Preach The Word".

    3. Please do not engage those who are trying to start a flame war as this will only add fuel to the fire. Please show patience and allow the Moderators and/or administrators to take care of this situation.

    Thats a good idea, its not much of a witness when brothers and sisters in Christ can't get along or debate a subject as adults.

    What was the new tone supposed to be again?

    I think alot of the KJVO have left posting in this forum. Perhaps I'm wrong, but I have a feeling they think they will get pounced on if they post.

    I've learned alot here and I think this can be a great forum to get us to stoke up that Berean spirit and examine all our beliefs against the Word of God.

    I hope we can all come together as brothers and sisters in Christ and discuss these matters in Love with wholesome and edifying speech.

    I think this is important too because I myself am guilty of taking on people for the sake of proving them wrong for the wrong reasons. I appologize to anybody on the board that I have insulted.
