In other news, scientists today realized that the sky is above us, joining the multiplied millions who already figured that out but did not have the money to spend on a study.

Did you know that the vast majority of teenage girls who get pregnant had a glass of milk within the week before they conceived? We need to ban teens from having milk.

Some people will say anything to ignore the obvious. If drinking milk is contributing to teenage pregnancy, then let's ban it. No serious person believes that.

TV Viewing Hazardous to Moral Health, CMI Study Finds

Heavy television watching parallels a decline in moral values and a sense of personal responsibility, a new study by the Culture and Media Institute of the Media Research Center has found.

In a new Special Report entitled “The Media Assault on American Values,” released by the CMI June 6, a clear correlation was shown to exist between an increase in the number of hours a viewer spent watching TV and a decline in the strength of personal moral values. The report explored the findings of the National Cultural Values Survey, a major study of American cultural and moral values conducted in December 2006.

Among the areas affected by TV viewing habits were attitudes towards abortion, charitable giving, sexual morality, financial self-sufficiency on healthcare and retirement, and church attendance.

On the issue of abortion, 44 percent of light TV viewers said abortion is wrong, compared to 27 percent of heavy TV viewers.

While 39 percent of light TV viewers said sex outside of marriage was always wrong, only 26 percent of heavy viewers considered sex outside of marriage to be always wrong.

Fifty-five percent of light viewers said homosexuality is wrong, while only 43 percent of heavy viewers agreed. Sixty-four percent of light viewers opposed same-sex marriage, compared to 57 percent of heavy TV viewers.

While only 28 percent of heavy viewers are frequent church goers, 47 percent of light viewers go to church regularly. More than half (51 percent) of heavy viewers said they rarely or never attended church, while only 29 percent of light viewers said they went to church “rarely or never”.

Just wondering, what is the weight difference between light TV viewers and heavy TV viewers?

I saw a survey that said 100% of all the people who believe we never landed on the moon think the black helocopters are on their way to get us.

Ever notice how some Christians can't see humor when they lookdead at it?

It's a shame they have to give up their senses of humor to be holy...

Pizza, I actually agree with you in this case. Besides that, I see nothing holy or consistant about posting conservative themes and defending liberal politicians.

Fathers not doing their job as a father is as bad, if not worse than watching 1 hour of TV a day...
    Materialism drives fathers these days...
    this creates debt..
    Debt creates marital friction.
Friction produce 1 of 2 things.. a second job, or divorce... both take the father away from home...
Kids get plopped down in front of TV (or internet)
    and the cycle continues...

TV is just a cog in the gear of ungodliness that is running rampant today..
How much time do Fathers spend on the internet...

As a father, how much time do you spend on BB?
OUch, that hurt... I stepped on my own toes!

    Buh-bye!
