In 1973 seven black robed justices of the Supreme Court handed down the decision [Roe v Wade] that condemned over 50,000,000 unborn babies to death, some by scalding with a saline solution, some by dismemberment, some by suctioning out their brain.

The response of the populace at large was ambivalent at best, ho hum at worst. and still is.

In 1973 the so-called baby boomers were coming into maturity. It was perhaps this group that should have taken the lead in addressing the problem of abortion. They did not. It was the Roman Catholic Church who first actively opposed abortion. The Southern Baptist Convention passed endless resolutions but? http://www.johnstonsarchive.net/baptist/sbcabres.html Other Southern Baptists were not so kind! http://www.bpnews.net/bpnews.asp?id=17486

At the present time baby boomers are retiring at the rate of 10,000 each day. Social Security is a pay-as-you-go system, a transfer of wealth from worker to retiree. Who will pay the Social Security benefits of these baby boomers?

    http://www.cato.org/publications/commentary/social-security-follow-math

In 1950, there were 16 workers paying taxes into the system for every retiree who was taking benefits out of it. Today, there are a little more than three. By the time the baby boomers retire, there will be just two workers who will have to pay all the taxes to support every one retiree.

Since 1973 the number of babies killed by abortion represent about one third of all pregnancies. The unforeseen consequences of the ho hum by the baby boomers is that rather than three workers paying their retirement there will be only two!

Interesting. Perhaps you and Revmitchell need to re-read this with the understanding that the unforeseen consequences to Christians voting for a man as President who doesn't follow Jesus do not have to be limited to a sitting President trying to convert folks to his religious affiliation.

Great! Name those consequences. Off course your main argument against him is a religious one so your hypocrisy is astounding.

I'm glad you don't. Neither do I. But it seems to be the hand that unrepentant Christendom has dealt the country.

Yes, I know you don't. And it's clear that politics and an election means more to you and a lot of others than does people's eternal souls.

I'll do what keeps me aligned with God's word. And that makes me happy.

How about you name the benefits to God's Kingdom of a Christian endorsing a false god worshiper?

Got any atheists you want to nominate next year?

Just funny. When y'all can't Biblically defend voting for a man who worships a false god, you resort to the same name calling that Dems and liberals do. Seems to be a favorite tact of the pro-homosexual, progressive crowd too.

If this is what has become of the Body of Christ in the USA, then this country fully DESERVES four more years of that anti-Christ who is currently in office.

I had hoped in starting this thread to get response from those baby boomers who have recently retired or will soon retire. Hopefully that may happen.

Yep, y'all sound more and more like the progressives every day. They don't like for folks to challenge their version of the truth either.

Must be more unborn babies in Heaven than Christians. The logistics problem boggles the mind.
