Are you for or against terrorism? Wasn't it George W. Bush who said that regimes that fund or harbor terrorists were evil and must be confronted?

Hah! I'm getting closer & closer to yer point of view, lately. So I'll try it again, after blasting major media outlets like you have been known to do, now you tout one that supports your view. Why should we trust a news source you have ridiculed people for believing ? Try and be convincing, this is big.

I'm not touting a major media outlet, I'm sourcing it. You'll notice I also sourced Hersh's article. I even have problems with some of what he writes in this article. Why is this big anyway? It's old news to us "conspiracy theorists" that have been looking into this kind of thing for years while everybody else is debating what the MSM encourages them to focus on and debate, like why did Britney shave her head and who gets Anna's body.

Because of the time. Lots of folks like me are just flat-out disgusted and looking for reasons to care about anything.

There's no question what I believe.

Anyhoo, the New Yorker link kinda scared me, but I will read it.

I'm with ya, poncho, when it comes to this stuff. But for all the rhetoric, I would say both political parties (and those elected to office) are complicit in this. Otherwise, the Dems would have gone all out to officially expose the Bush machine and liaison with the House of Saud, (Wahhabism) etc. instead of leaving it to the far lefties like Michael Moore.

It is hard to disagree with logic of Ron Paul, as usual he is right on target.

    Yup.

And it's not unprecidented, you know. Probably had a lot to do with how good of a tan I had in '81 & '82.

You shouldn't be scared of Hersh & the New Yorker - he's done a lot of solid reporting for them and the New Yorker is renown for its fact-checking. They have a lot of good in-depth reporting.

Atlantic Monthly also has some informative war reporting and analysis.

    SOURCE Global Research. (long article)

Apparently LE, we aren't the only ones that have noticed this. The Dems would only expose their own complicity in the same crimes by exposing Bush's corruption. Can't have that.

    * I'm having a hard time believing that our government would target civilians. I don't want to believe that the thought would even occur to them but I can't rule out the fact they have thought of it, Northwoods document (false flag terror campaign) and the overthrow of the Mossadegh government in 1953 (another false flag terror campaign that "we" sponsored) to name just a couple. And now we find out that our government is sponsoring terrorist groups once again in an attempt to destabilize Iran. Who do the terrorists that "we" sponsor target if not civilian populations? I can't be a part of all that. Call me unpatriotic a liberal or whatever but I can't be complicit in such crimes by denying them, making excuses for them, trying to rationalize them away or staying silent about them. The use of terrorism for any purpose is unthinkable and evil whether "they" use it or "we" use it imho and even worse to my way of thinking is that "we" have used it against others and continue to do so in the name of national security and deny it all the while demonizing and punishing others for using it.

LE, you ought to be ashamed of yourself for displaying the flag of Israel as your avatar, and espousing your views. Take it down.

How does having armed dissidents within the country create pressure to give up the nuclear programme? Seems like we're running the risk of having the separatists (read: Kurdish) throw yet another country into chaos and war.

With Iran funding terrorists all over the Middle East, seems more than a little fair to fund a little unrest in their country. Your fears play into the hands of the mullahs. It somehow figures.

If the United States government is engaged in a war against the tactic of terrorism and the United States government is participating in the tactic of terrorism, does this mean the United States government is at war with itself?
