It's easy to understand [ from reading the many posts on the different threads here] why some of you can't understand the ways of Christ [ as in Christian ] through His One Church with its Apostolic Teachings together along with the Holy Bible with its One and only Interpretation as intended. How can any of you possibly believe that individual interpretation is the valid way taught by the Bible, when the Bible itself is against it. It boggles ones mind to think that the intellect of some actually believe that their particular church has the correct interpretation out of a number far exceeding 30,000 different conlicting interpretations when the Bible tells you differently, so much for sola Scriptura. The Holy Bible is the inerrant Word of God and has only One real Interpretation.

The church has a real problem these days because it's full of sinners. If we could just clear out all the sinners and imperfect people, we could have a perfect church. If one ever finds a perfect church, it would be best if one didn't go there and ruin it for them.

Most organized religious institutions are corrupt. The bigger they are, the more people in them, and the more money they bring in, the more corrupt the leadership are. When you have corrupted leadership, touting a corrupted gospel, then you are institutionalizing your error, and perpetuating it.

Wasn't it a slam again at the Catholic Church? Read the comments.

I am very glad to see that this Vatican priest is speaking the truth about Yoga. It is sad that people on this board will condemn or speak negative of ANYTHING that is attached to the word 'Catholic'. The Unitarian/Universalist Church in my town is hosting a Yoga event and I know people in my Baptist Church that are participating and promoting it! So far, the leadership of the church has been unwilling to speak up. It’s all very well to go on and on about how this is incompatible with Christian belief, but we know that already. The problem is what to do about it. I wonder what my church can learn from this unfortunate situation once we recover from being thoroughly scandalized.

I agree that regardless of the epitaph hanging over the door of a church building does not make them right in everything they believe or do. Shame on "Baptists" (whatever make and model they may be under that title) for not standing up against it and pat the Catholic church on the back for taking a stand. I appreciate the Catholic stand against abortion and for marriage in spite of the immoral scandals that characterize and have characterized the Vatican for centuries.

Here is the deal. No Christian or congregation knows ALL TRUTH, but in order to be recognized as a Christian there are some essential truths that must be embraced for a person to be recognized as a true believer. Likewise, there is no congregation that has "all truth" but there are some essential truths that must be embraced to be recognized as a New Testament congregation as opposed to one in apostasy.

It's official, you've been hoodwinked into believing in a false system.

Those poor Bereans who read the Scriptures daily to see whether those things were so, how dare them do such a thing. Too bad you catholics weren't there to stop them, rather it's a good thing. I'd suggest that you would have reacted like the Jews did to this, which is expressed in Acts 17:13. It's the same spirit in this verse that you and your system possess.

I've also taken notice since we PROVED your system does in fact pray TO Mary, saints and angels, with documentation, you've decided not to respond back only to justify that you in fact do that which you formerly denied once we provided proof.

    Talk about self-deception.

It doesn't boggle my mind at all. If I didn't think that my particular church (baptist) was the closest to the truth as you can get, I'd go to whoever was. Simple as that. It's not haughty or arrogant to think that my church is right, because I chose to go there because I already believed they were right. If you belong to a church group and don't believe that they are right, you are a fool.

    Two points to consider.
    1) If no church has the fullness of Truth why go?
    2) If a church is wrong about one item or certain items why should you trust it to teach any truth?

I am not sure what you are getting at, to be honest. But I think your questions are directed at my statement when I said "was closest to the truth as you can get". I am going to answer as if that is you are asking those questions of me based upon that quote.

I personally think that the Baptists have the whole truth. I think that we have variances of standards, and minor variances of doctrine. But I think that we understand the whole truth as pertaining to matters that really matter.

Says the one who claims his group is the "one."

Your system is false, and the mind boggling thing is that anyone would believe what your group teaches. Especially after you all defend yourselves about what you do, saying you don't do it (pray TO Mary, saints, angels) when in fact it is in your teachings as fact, and is certainly something you do yourself. Quit denying the facts.

You seriously need to be awakened.

preacher4truth,if the Catholic Church is wrong then all Protestant churches [ Baptist, Lutheran, Calvinists, Anglican. etc. ] are also wrong, because Protestantism inherited the bulk of its theology from the Catholic Church in the 16th century.

Would the vatican know the work of the devil even if he came and kicked them in the hotseat?

You're continuing to show just how deceived you are. You need to be awakened. Look at what you do, then deny what you do, then justify what you do, then deny it again.

    You need awakened.
