When I was 8 years old , I wanted to be baptised but I wasnt old enough. But a year later When I was 9 i got baptised and when I went into the water I saw a light like it was from heaven, and I know that heaven was rejoicing that day. I will never forget that day. [IMG]

I think that is great [IMG]

I am just about to finish a teaching certification in Social Studies and History; I am going to get my masters in Exceptional Education.

I am amazed at the many ways the brain is created to think and learn so much information. I want to encourage you in your future, Kentucky needs good teachers, those who are there because of their dedication to people and them learning and not because they just want a paycheck. I think you will be a great teacher [IMG]

What grade level do you want to teach?

Frogman that was nice of you to say that. I want to teach special ed for k-2. I myself have a learning disablitie. And I want the kids to feel that they are not alone. I love kids, some people accuse of special ed kids of not being smart. That is not true they are smart in ther own way. [IMG]

That is right, there is only 'exceptional' education; remember that. Those kids and yourself too, (BTW, most people do have a Learning Disability), just with most folks the schools don't officially recognize it; most folks learn only what the school feeds em, the exceptional kids go above and beyond that; they are smart in ways that all the rest of us will never be able to be [IMG]

You hang in there and do all you can do to earn that degree; you will be a great teacher because you will know your students and respect them for themselves and not as a role book number.

Have you checked out any colleges or universities? The best imho, this state has to offer is Berea.

I had two high school friends who graduated from there and one of them is working as a research engineer for Perdue farms in North Carolina and the other is working for U.K.'s research labs out of Ashland.

I was stupid, I got married, they tried to get me to go to Berea with them, but I got married and then later decided to go to college, it is hard. I had to quit for a while, but the Lord has given me the opportunity to return and I only like a couple of semesters finishing [IMG]

Hang in there, you will do great

    God Bless ya
