I have also been in a food establishment and seen employees coming out of the restroom and just bypass the sink, and that does compel me to avoid that place for quite a while. And rather obviously, the signs on the doors in so many places, "EMPLOYEES ARE REQUIRED TO WASH THEIR HANDS BEFORE RETURNING TO WORK" is there to downplay the apprehension among customers. But even if they do wash their hands, they still push the door open which has most likely been touched by other people who didn't. What's the solution? Even as in SubWay, where they put on those clear gloves, they had to use one hand to the put the glove on the first one; and likely the first one gloved is the hand they don't write or do most tasks with-- but regardless, those gloves weren't put on automatically some how.

Nevertheless, how many of us eat at commercial food services [probably most of us], and are we sick that often? I honestly think it's just the emotional repulsion we have in thinking about this that plagues (bad choice of words, perhaps) us so much. As I've said about smoking-- it's less that we really think being near a smoker will give us cancer than we are just so repulsed by the smell of the smoke.

And if we are so repulsed by sanitation offenses, think of Jesus coming from heaven to earth at that time of history.

You know - most everyone who uses an outhouse - has this problem - plus I've seen a few at Walmart - not that it's Walmart's fault - unless you consider the fact that they put the restroom there.

So maybe if stores - eating establishments - church - etc - wouldn't have restroom facilities - the problem would be solved!

i went to the waffle house last night and our waitress kept texting someone on her phone then would stick it back in her pocket and go back to touching food. I'm no germ-a-phobe or even a clean freak but I left without eating.

The next time you see this let other people who are going the eatery know thathe person did not wash his or her hands. Also speak to the manger or call the 800 number of the place or your local hea;th Dept and have them do a food safety check.

Well, of course I wash my hands and use sanitizer wipes which I keep in the car and my wife keep in her purse.

Thank the good Lord, people are becoming mor conscious about it now.

It was rather hard in the old days, with the out houses though. Especially if you had a 2 seater..........:)
