Surprised? Not really. I doubt any other Republican really wants the job at the moment.

    I didn't know....

I didn't know that the minority party could actually nominate a speaker and that their speaker nominee could actually have a shot at winning.

As despicable and wimpy as JB seems to me, I shudder to think what the next 4 years would look like if Nancy Pelosi would have been elected.......ughhhhh.

Is JB man enough for the job without caving in to the O? He has proven time and time again that he is not, that he's a sell out. :tear:

Heard Dick Armey say once he had to go with Newt down to WH to keep him from caving to Clinton.

Boehner has promised no one on one meetings with Obama. That is the way it should be. Regular order, the House proposes and the Senate and WH can then act!

Same as you, mildly surprised. But I guess there was no viable alternative.

I suspect he is studying parliamentary proceedings, Robert's Rules of Order, and other etiquette for holding meetings while getting his monthly spray suntan treatment.

In fact, the speaker of the House need not be a sitting member of the House or even an elected official.

    Not surprised about the results.

I am surprised at the people here that know way too much about fake tans. LOL I don't know much more about them beyond the reality that they exist.
