Do you have any proof? Their children get public education and they can get free medical care at any hospital emergency room. I have no doubt that some are getting welfare and medicaid.

See the following site for the cost of illegal immigration:

    *lol*

Where is your proof it is costing you a penny?

Yes, children get help. Do you think Christ would begrudge a child an education or food or heatlh care because the parent entered the USA illegaly?

How did YOUR ancestors enter the USA?

If an adult is getting salary money - some US citizen is committing a federal crime. A crime the immigrant might not even KNOW is a crime.

The immigrants are usually risking life and slave-like-conditions to feed their families. What excuse do the "fine" "upstanding" citizens who hire them have that is even remotely "right" or "excuseable."

Find me white-Americans willing to do what the average illegal immigrant is willing to do before your greedy attitude is used as justification.

How many do you run into up in South Carolina? You seem eager to bad mouth them. Do you KNOW them?

</font>[/QUOTE]Thanks a lot "brother". Typical conservative...rattle your mouths off until someone asks for your help...and then you mock them. I will no longer have any compassion for anyone...since nobody ever has it for me.

I thought we made some headway and were going to get along...guess I thought wrong...

Back on topic...come on people...what about the "illegal" immigrants? Are they the problem...or deep down are you just really against immigrants of all kinds? hmm?

I am against immigrants who come here expecting the government to do everything for them. Since this seems to be what you expect, I would be against you coming here, also. You don't want help, you want someone to wave a magic wand and make all your problems go away

People have given you very good advice, and you answer them with more whining. What do you want ? You want people to cover for mistakes you made? It was you who put yourself in debt, even if you blame someone else, it was you. Nobody made you rack up that debt. You need to take care of it. I'm pretty sure that would be what Christ would want from you.

Philippians 4;13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Whining? I was asking for help and trying to explain my circumstances. And then your holier than thou butt had to mock me for it. You didn't give any HELP! If that was "help" I'll stick to handling it myself.

Yes, it WAS me who put myself in debt for "helping" someone. What was I thinking by doing that? If I were a conservative I would have said "help yourself!". And I DO want help...I DON'T want a magic wand and frankly your attitude is disgraceful. You are pretty good at "thinking" you know what I want. What do you "think" I want now?...

By the way...I would hope Christ wouldn't be like you...and other conservatives. Thanks for the "help" pal.

Sarcasm..when he thinks he was helping. Dude...you have a funny way of "helping". I did not take mocking me as helping.

Oh...and if everyone in America is like you...don't worry...I wouldn't want to go there.

More mocking. Glad I entertained you. You are welcome. Oh...in case you didn't know...thanks for your "help"...but you can shove your "help". I'm a conservative now. I care about myself.

I've taken a few breaths and calmed down. I am not a conservative and I apologize for my anger. I put myself on the line, trying to share a tad of my circumstances to find out what I should do and I felt mocked and degraded. I apologize for how I handled it. That's all I have to say...no need to respond.

James, your problem is not conservatives. Your problem is you see no way out of your hole.

I do not believe there is any such thing as a dead-end job. I also de not believe there is any such thing as not being able to find work. It may not be the work you want, but there is work out there.

Kind of reminds me of Micheal Moore, who is making $millions telling folks they can't take care of themselves.

Do you have veteran's benefits ? Can you educate yourself ? Do you have a local library ? I know you have access to a computer, so you have the internet. There are several recourses to help you get a degree. You can succeed if you want to. Spend less time telling us how evil conservatives are, and more time imroving your life.

Charity is one thing, and it is a command. We are to feed the hungry, help the sick, and clothe the poor. But constant free help is not charity.

And you have done your share of mocking, name calling, and such.

Now go out and start living. You'll be suprised how much hard work will help you.

Don't get your "bowels in an uproar" Texas Sky, take a deep breath, if that don't help take a tranquilizer.

I have neither justified those who hire illegals nor have I bad mouthed the illegals. It is costing me money since I pay taxes.
My ancestors came over legally, did yours?

Curtis...I was in the military but have no veteran's benefits. I have a dead end job, I believe. Not what I want, but all that I can do at this present time. You're right. I see no way out of this hole. I have tried harder than you know and I am a hard worker.

I am studying correspondence right now to upgrade so I can go to university. I am afraid I would be wasting my time though. By the time I got a degree I'd be in my late 30s.

I know that constant free help is not charity. I don't get any help. I as a single male would not even qualify for welfare (or much anyway), nor do I even want it. I wanted a hand up that I have EARNED through contributing to unemployment insurance and I was told "no, you have a job you can go back to". Excuse me...a dead end job with no benefits, no chance of promotion, not enough money to live off of...basically a job for retired military people. You can bet I was angry when I was told that.

Oh trust me, I'll work hard to succeed. I just don't have much faith that I will. When I tried to get back into the military the interviewer specifically said "you fail at everything you do". And you know what? He was right.

Now...thank you for THIS help. It is the kind of help I was looking for. I have done my share of mocking, etc. but I would hope I wouldn't do it when someone is asking for help. I do it in a heated debate. I'd hate to make someone feel mocked and degraded.

Most successful people fail more than failures do. The failure never tries. The successful person learns from his failures. Edison was a failure by your standards.

Why have you accepted what others have told you?

Not many child prodigies who were musicians are even playing an instrument today. Why? They quit studying.

It is not so much where you came from but where you are going. It is perseverance that counts.

Out of the top ten businesses in America only four of the owners have graduated from college. Most businesses once started in a garage.

The person who waits for things to happen will always be waiting.

Wasn't it John Wooden who said, "Success is the direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you did your best to become the best you are capable of becoming."

Isn't that why God created you? Doesn't he expect the best from you whatever that is.

Thank God for the man who picks up my garbage with a great attitude. My mailman loves his work.

Hey gb, thanks for your thought provoking post. I will keep it for reference.

I guess I didn't always accept what people said about me. But when it was years of constantly bad stuff I started to accept it.
