what Can You Say about this Famous Baptist Preachers,
De 4:29 But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.
Joh 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Make sure that whatever you hear you study it in light of the scriptures and seek truth.
Don't know David Pawson, Charles Stanley I have immense respect and appreciation for him and his ministry.
I heard Charles Stanley preach only one complete un-errored sovereign grace message several years ago.
Dr. Stanley has been a great conservative and played a major role in the conservative resurgence in the convention. But you have to be careful of his eschatology as he holds to Millennial Exclusion.
Really? I haven't ever heard that before. What's your source?
I know Stanley is a little different from other "conservatives" in that he supports women in pastoral ministry, but I have never heard him espouse Millennial Exclusion. However, I haven't paid much attention to him over the last decade or so.
There was a lot of debate over that doctrine on this board a few years back. It came out then. In fact a few members of this board emailed his ministry and a portion of that doctrine was confirmed. It was then posted on this board. Those who supported that doctrine we then banned.
Stanley talks about it in one of his books of the past. I will try to find the name of the book.
Here is a link to one of the archived threads.
Did you read that entire thread? The one person in the thread that spoke with InTouch said this:
This was after an in depth researching on all of Stanley's sermons, books, etc., they had on file at the time, and this is the only place it is mentioned. InTouch described it this way:
Considering that I took part in that thread you would think it was obvious that I read it.
Does anyone have an issue with Stanley regarding his statement to his church that he would immediately resign as pastor if he divorced, and his subsequent backtracking afterward?
I don't have an issue with it. Is it a sin to change your mind?
Changing one's mind, of course not; but does it speak well of one's character to change one's mind after one has given his word?
Does the bible say anything though in regards to this in his siuation? my understanding is that he tried to reconcile, and his wife refused, and gave him the divorce appers, but he stillconsiders them married?
I don't know enough about his situation and everything he said or didn't say to make a comment.
I do know that his congregation did not want him to step down and his divorce was purely his wife's doing, and he has stayed unmarried. I don't think he is disqualified from the pastorate.

Never heard of them....who are they?
What bothers me is his about-face on a promise made after events made it necessary that he fulfill it. To me, it is a character issue.
Charles Stanley has as high a character as any man I've ever seen. Where are you getting your information on his "about face"? Do you have a link to something?
He knows nothing about it. He is just talking.
