My dad, a preacher, was a chevrolet man. At 68, he just bought his first foreign car.

I went to a church in Jax, Florida, where the pastor and his wife drove matching BMW's. Every few years, they traded up.

A recent pastor here, drove an old Ford truck. Fishing poles and motor oil containers litter the bed.

What are you driving these days?

Our interim came on his Harley Hog. Our previous pastor had an old red truck. I've not paid any attention to what Pastor Rick drives. We have about 600 cars in our parking lot.... 4 hummers, 2 Jaguars, 1 Porsche and of course, my $17,000 Saturn Vue which is the cutest of all. [IMG]

My Pastor has a Dodge minivan, probably a '99 or '00 and he has an early 90's Dodge Diplomat. He bought both at auction and keeps them repaired. I drive a '95 Subaru Legacy with 155k on it. New, fancy cars and doing inner-city ministry here in Philly are not a wise mix. Car insurance is high and vandalism is frequent.

My pastor/hubby drives a '03 Kia Rio Cinco (station wagon). It is his very first car. We got it because it was the cheapest one we could find that all my cases of dialysis solution would fit in [IMG]

I still have my '98 Pontiac Sunfire (purple of course) that I bought in college.

Jesus was said to have driven a Dodge (he drove out a Demon in the synagogue). Jesus also appeared to own a Honda, but didn't like to talk about it, saying "For I did not speak of my own Accord..."

Jesus' followers, however, followed Jesus' lead, and carpooled in a Honda (The Apostles were in one Accord.)

Paul must have driven a Jeep, but warns others not to show it off (Take care that this Liberty of yours does not somehow become a stumbling block to the weak).

God Himself drove a Plymouth (God drove Adam and Eve out of the Garden of Eden in a Fury).

The Insraelites must have driven Dodge trucks, because they were told not to go up the mountain
"until the Ram's horn sounds a long blast." An interesting twist, since Moses drove a sports car (the roar of Moses' Triumph is heard in the hills.) This was in contrast to the Old COvenant which required the Hebrews to drive Mazdas (And thou shalt keep the feast of weeks unto the LORD thy God with a tribute).

Joshua, must have inhierited Moses' car, but by then, his muffler must have needed repair (Joshua's Triumph was heard throughout the land.)

God tells us to drive a Pontiac or a Geo ("pursue your enemies with your Tempest and terrify them with your Storm.")

Jesus' cousin drove a Dodge (the head of John the Baptist was brought to King Herod in a Charger). Sometimes, he might have driven the same Dodge Jesus did (John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say He hath a demon).

But, scripture is clear that the unsaved do not drive Plymouths (Hell hath no Fury).
