    I'm a former Continental Baptist

    I was raised Methodist. I became a Continental Baptist--aka Anabaptist--aka Mennonite--as an adult. I am now an Orthodox Christian.

    Ok, well I won't hold that against you but you won't be allowed on any committee. Those are for us Baptist.

    Gee... I thought there was only two groups? :smilewinkgrin:

    Christians who believe in Jesus and Non-Christians who don't (we don't see too many of them Non name brands around here very often).

    LeBuick;
    BobRyan is a
    Seventh-day Adventist
    And I agree with him on most ever issue, amazing. I know if we discussed enough we would differ but not too much so far.

    err umm - you don't see me posting on Baptist-only threads (at least not knowingly) and you don't see me asking to be added to any committee.

    But still - nice to know you don't hold that against me.

    Just for the record -- SDAs are Trinitarian, practice open communion, and believer's Baptism. Our "Seventh-day" teaching actually came from the "Seventh-day Baptists". And although we do accept the spiritual gifts list in 1Cor 12 - so do a few other Baptist groups. And we hold to something very similar to the free-will-Baptist view of free will.

    This is not me "claiming to be Baptist" - but ... I am not sure the gap is as large as you think.

    i agree with music4him...

    im not of any group. methodists (which i hear are just baptists who can read... :) ) or anything else.

    im not any denomonation. nor am i a non-denomonationalist - cause that's a denomonation.

    i'll be a disciple of Christ. a follower. fisher of men. repenter. etc.

    Christian only.

    Have been attending church among the non-hardline Church of Christ congregations for two years but active in ministries of multiple denominations.

    I prefer to be associated with serving the Lord in His large church scattered among the various denominations and independent churches, rather than be limited because of being associated to closely with one group.
