How would he be accepted? Would the false converts depart? Would people on staff quit? Would the senior pastor be fired? I Imagine that Washer would be very welcomed at our church and his books would sell more copies. But many churches need Washer to address them but they are stubborn and set in their ways they won't give him a chance. Washer has been on the Way of the Master radio and is a advocate for open air preaching. Perhaps more people in my church would be convicted to spend more time passing out tracts, witnessing, and doing open air. I imagine after Washer spoke more would join me in street evangelism.

He would not be preaching in my church. Not one single word.

You have used Comforts dvd's but did you know Washer is a household name on the Way of the Master radio podcast?

I don't really understand your obsession with Way of the Master, Paul Washer and John MacArthur. Who cares if Paul Washer came to preach at my church? And why would staff quit?? Honestly, I'd rather have the missionary who is right now living in an area very hostile to the Gospel come teach because I think I could really learn a LOT about evangelism from him and not just from people who are in their comfortable American home.

Who wouldn't want some arrogant preacher to come into their church and yell at everyone that they are not really Christians? That they didn't completely repent? That they aren't following Lordship salvation? That their good works just aren't crown-worthy?

Not true not true. I read and learn from other teachers besides the three you mentioned.

He wouldn't. I am my own man. I follow the Lord Jesus Christ. Not some guy who wrote a book that is not all that good.

It's not a question of what people want; it's a question of what they need. Revelation 3:17.
The only book I've read by Washer is The Gospel Call & True Conversion. Wonderful book!
I'd love it if I could get Paul Washer to come to my church, though not primarily to speak about evangelism.

My guess is that he would be arrested for breaking and entering.

So many in this thread think that they own the church when it's supposed to be Christ's church.

Completely disagree. I do not think that it is about church ownership. Those who are called to be pastors are tasked with guarding the flock.

Would a shepherd just let anyone in the sheepfold to shepherd his sheep or would he be careful and guard against danger?

There is an assumption here on his part. His assumption is that he knows something about which he speaks. Then he assumes he knows what others are thinking. Then he assumes there are only two options available, either you like and would want Washer in your church or you are against what God wants. Lastly he assumes Washer's message is right and biblical. He is wrong on all counts.

Washer seems to have his faith planted firmly on the notion of being randomly selected before the world began, and seems to find assurance by looking at his own good works.

Hardly grounds for calling him "brother" and therefore hardly grounds for letting him preach to the brethren.
