I am a youth leader here in Southern West Virginia. We have been going through the Bible Chronologically. This has been a challenge, but very rewarding. Its causes me to be creative, it forces me not to become boring and its a joy to see the youth excited to see how the whole of Scripture truly has the answers to all of life's questions!

    So what are you teaching?

We mainly use the Word of Life materials, but I'm not a stickler for staying right with it.

Just asked my daughter - she said they're learning about forgiveness in youth group right now. We do our own material.

My wife teaches our your. She also teaches a Precept Bible Study for ladies (Book of John, Part 2). She generally teaches the same thing for bot groups, but in a little less detail for the youth. Most of them have very little understanding of the Word. For the most part, they are from unchurched homes.

She also did a series on manners. She explained to them how our behavior reflects on Christ. Needless to say, it was mainly brand new information!

Our youth have been going thru their Communicant's class. This is basically a Christianity 101 class, and is required of all middle/high school students who wish to become members. [Note - we also require a new members class for adults who wish to become members.]

For those who are members, this has been a time of review. For those who are not Christians yet, this has been a good evangelistic tool.
