What is God's providence?

    1. Define it

    2. Give an example of it in the bible

    3. Give an example of it in your life

    4. State why in each example you believe it was God's providence and not from another source.

    The word providence comes from the word 'provide.' That is what God does for us, usually through others or 'circumstances', but sometimes directly, miraculously.

    The Israelites certainly experienced that in the desert with water and manna!

    Everyday of my life is a matter of God's providence. I know for sure I could not have done what I have been able to do without His care for me and mine.

    2. Every place that it says God acted is by definition caring for His creatures.

    3. I can't. Living by faith means the highest ideal of not "knowing" but trusting that everything in my life is a result of God caring for me. My poor actions, of course, may put a crimp in what God is willing to do with me.

    Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

    Helen, you said what I was "baiting" someone to say. :D (baiting in a nice way)
    The word miracle in the same sentence as providence.
    Does anyone here believe that God's providence is completely seperate from the types of miracles that happened in the bible?
