What is God's view of Immigration?

I believe the Bible has the answers to every single subject or issue that comes up. I studied the Bible on the subject of immigration and found a huge amount of information on the subject. I came to these basic conclusions:

    1. God is for immigration.
    2. Immigrants must abide by the laws of the land.
    3. Immigrants must learn and speak the language of the land (English)
    4. Immigrants must respect the religion of the land (Christianity - not Catholicism or Islam).
    5. Immigrants must have a desire to be (in our case) Americans.

My sermon on Sunday night was "God's View of Immigration" and I systematically preached these points from the Bible. Does anyone else have any other thoughts on God's view of immigration? If anyone is interested in any of these points here is the link to the sermon: http://www.faithfulwordbaptist.org/page5.html

    Sincerely,

    Pastor Steven L Anderson

However, if the immigrants are naked, or visit a male gynecologist, you may hit them with a baseball bat.

You still scaring the youngsters with your sermons?

    :D

Man, is it ever fun to feed the trolls.

I guess this is going to be just another hit and run thread. This type of behavior is getting old.

By your own admission to number 4, you are not Baptist...
One of the distinctives of being baptist is separation of church and state...
not just toleration, but freedom. Baptists have fought for centuries for the right of any religion to worship the way they want.. Baptists have given up their lives for this principle.
    Are you a Baptist, or a pseudo-Baptist.

And why must we learn English... The English settlers didn't learn Navajo!

As Baptists we believe that even the muslims have a right to practice freely their religion.

BTW, Roman Catholics are part of the Christian religion.
and we all (that are saved) belong to the catholic (universal) church. :D

I see no reason for anyone to address the op since his habit is to never return to a thread he creats. He will not defend, debate, or even discuss his opinion on anything.

Personally, I try to duck or dive behind something to get away from drive-bys. You don't get hit accidentally, that way. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Aw c'mon, Linda! Give the guy a break- preferably on the wire from his computer! [IMG] [IMG]

Besides, if it weren't for the BB, who would he be able to get to 'read' or listen to his sermons?

Consider these words of wisdom?? from my late grandmother, whom I don't recall hearing them from, as she went home to be with the Lord when I was six, but were related to me by my own late mother:

One correction, Donna. He actually did respond? one time, to my knowledge.

(Although I'm probably stretching almost to the breaking point, the definition of "respond"!) [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    Now, now people.

Let's give credit where credit is due. This post is much less offensive than the last few. Except for #4 (which Tiny Tim responded too), there isn't much to even disagree with(for a change).

Of course I'm afraid to actually listen to the sermon, so I'm only responding to the OP.

I too believe immigrants should want to be Americans first and Mexican American (or German Americans or African Americans) second. That includes learning the language that the majority of Americans use--English. I also believe that immigrants should follow the laws of the land including those laws that regulate immigration.(I don't believe illegals should be charged with a felony, just deported until they can come in legally)

The only thing left is "God is for immigration". Personally, I don't think God cares one way or the other. The case can be made though that Abraham and the Children of Isreal were all immigrants at one time or the other at God's behest.

Let's stick to the subject and hope Sanderson at least occasionally reads the responses and is learning something.

    4. Immigrants must respect the religion of the land (Christianity - not Catholicism or Islam).

By your own admission, your "god" is the King James Bible, your pagan idolatry violates your own rule.

    So get lost!

This really isn't worth it. Will close this troll's nonsense and start a new thread on immigration (without the "baggage")
