I was born in Middlesboro, KY. It's in southeastern KY near the TN/VA line. Beautiful scenery. The Pinnacle is nice--view of several states from on top of a mountain. Also Cumberland Falls is really nice. The Daniel Boone Trail goes thru Middlesboro--it's just a walk thru the woods. Not much to do, but historic.

Also, it's home to Kentucky Fried Chicken! What can you say about a state who's claim to fame is horses, moonshine and chicken? [IMG]

You can also visit the birthplaces of the two presidents that we had in the early 1860's: Abraham Lincoln and Jefferson Davis.
