84, Charing Cross Road by Helene Hanff

A delightful little work: the letters of a New York writer [at end of WWII] to an English Book Shop Clerk.

    Anne of Green Gables series

Set on Prince Edward Island before/during WWI. Should be required reading for every seminarian. Depicts the many sorts of people that they will face in the real world as well as many of the emotions they and their people will face in life.
