    Who's the "whole world"?
There will be Christians (followers of Christ) in Heaven, not calvinists (followers fo man). I beg to differ that calvinism is the only God centered theology. It's seems to be more centered on God's ability to hate than anything.

I might have to change my vote to "inaccurate assesments by calvinists".

Obviously your question has been answered. Just in reading this thread Calvanism has reared its ugly head in by far the most accusative of the posts.

What a sad response to doctrines so God honoring. Makes me wonder how some truly feel about the scriptures.

I just voted. I put the Calvanism/Arminianism down as one.

The reason this is so controversial is the fact that it determines what we do and how we act.

When you view God as sovereign (truly view him as such) it leads to obedience even if you do not have "success" of numbers in your Church.

When you believe that man has the final say in salvation, it can go to ways, often times it leads to high "standards" and many rules to show that man has attained a level of Godliness. That often leads to discouragement so, since man can persuade other men to come to Christ, it leads to compromise, such as changing music to appeal to the flesh of the unbeliever.
It also leads to giving up on certain issues. An example would be a lady who recently told me on this board, "may Christians should give up fighting abortion as a lost cause" "and just concentrate on getting people saved (non exact quote)

If God is sovereign, we vote for the best candidate, if man is in control, we vote for the best candidate THAT HAS A CHANCE TO WIN.

If God is sovereign, we don't care what people wear to Church.
If man is in control, we tend to adhere to "standards" and man made rules passed down through tradition.

So, the premiss that we have affects greatly on the way that we view certain issues.
So naturally this would be a hot topic.

As far as other topics getting lots of replies, there was even a Mac vs PC thread in the computer forum :)
That is the big one on tech forums which I get on a lot as well :)

Calvinism may irritate the most and be the most irrisistable, as, once again, a thread has gone down that road away from the original OP. :)

But then, no ones to blame, it was predestined to be that way... :)
