    Just started reading the book, When Books Went to War; the stories that helped us win World War II.

    Publishers and the US government cooperated and printed millions upon millions of paperback books and gave them free to GI's. The value of the books in helping these mean and women is immeasurable.

    The following quote of what war was like for the GI's is from the first chapter.

    People can be killed. Authors can be jailed or killed. But it is impossible to kill ideas. They live on forever.
