    Eph 2:10

10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

When were they Created in Christ ? You see all those who are in Time saved by Grace through Faith, were created in Christ Jesus ! See 1 Tim 2:5 ; 2 Tim 1:9 unto Good Works, He hath before ordained, that we [ The Workmanship] should walk in them !

When was this Creation ? For it was in Christ the Anointed they were Created. Paul Tells us in 1 Cor 1:24 that Christ , the Anointed One is the Wisdom of God and the Power of God, we will explore the Wisdom of God. Christ that Wisdom of God is written of here in Prov 8:22-25

22The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.

23 I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.

24When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water.

25Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth:

Now let it be understood that we are not referring to the Deity of Christ here, for that is unbegotten and un created and Eternally Self Existing as the Father and The Holy Ghost, but we are speaking of Christ as The Mediatoral Head of the Church, as the Beginning of the Creation of God Rev 3:14

    14And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

The Firstborn of every Creature Col 1:15

15Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

Christ was the Firstborn as the Wisdom of God, of Every Creature. The word firstborn is the greek word prōtotokos:

    the firstborn

    a) of man or beast

    b) of Christ, the first born of all creation

He was the First Being brought Forth in His Mediatoral Person as the Son of God, thats why He is called the Only Begotten of the Father. See Jn 1:14,18;3:16,18; 1 Jn 4:9 !

Now again in His Being as the Essential Word, He was not God's Begotten Son, but Co Equal and Self Existing and Eternal, the Eternal Everlasting God, but as the Begotten Son, the Mediator [ 1 Tim 2:5] the Wisdom of God, and was possessed by God in the beginning Prov 8:22

22The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.

This word possessed is a hebrew word qanah and means:

to get, acquire, create, buy, possess

    a) (Qal)

    1) to get, acquire, obtain

    a) of God originating, creating, redeeming His people

Now this creating is in the sense of being begotten as Prov 8:25

before the mountains were settled, and before all hills, he begets me LXX.

Now that word beget is also defined as create or procreate !

Again, this refers to Christ as the Head of the Church and the Wisdom of God 1 Cor 1:24

24But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

Now as Christ and the Head of the Church Eph 5:23

For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

If He was created before the Hills or beget, then so was His Seed in Him, thats when The Workmanship was Created in Christ Jesus Eph 2:10 refers to ! Yes, Then Created in Christ Jesus unto good works !

In the context of the thread title, what does "in" mean? Pun intended.

Absolute baloney! The context of Ephesians 2:10 is speaking about regeneration as a creative act of God (Eph. 2:1,5,10) just as other texts refer to it as a creative command of God that takes place at conversion (Eph. 4:24; Col. 3:10; 2 Cor. 4:6; Jm. 1:18; etc.).

SBG is completely messed up because he confuses the purpose of God with the actual administration of that purpose in time and space. He attempts to isolate the purpose or provision of God and make them stand alone apart from the application of purpose and provision and in so doing teaches nothing but absolute error.

The New Birth is that, but thats not when one is Created in Christ Jesus. The New Birth is when one is Created or Birthed out of Christ Jesus as He is the Seed incorruptible 1 Pet 1:23

23Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

Christ is that Incorruptible Seed Gal 3:16

16Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

Now how did One get in Christ as to be of His Seed ? The same principle as to when did the Elect get into Adam to be His Seed. In Both instances it was by Creation !

So deny it, but you cannot prove by scripture I am wrong !

what you refer to as the 'Word" is the Son. second person of thetruine Godhead, and as such, Jesus was without beginning as to His deity, so was eternal!

The Word in and of Himself is not the Son, but is the Essential Deity of the Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, who was begotten. The Word was not begotten !

The Son, the Lord Jesus Christ which is begotten of the Father, was begotten into Union with the Word who was not Begotten, but always Self Existed as the Father and the Spirit !

Jesus was/is the Word of the father from etrernity past, was/is God the Son...

the Word was God the Son, who became human and dwelt among us...

That is precisely my point! They were not "in Christ" before the world began in any other way other than by DIVINE INTENT/PURPOSE - PERIOD!

They have no previous actual existence! They are not one with Deity in eternity past and that is the heretical and absolute irrational doctrine you are promoting by your "in Christ" error!

I refuted your point. Paul has built upon the Fact of a Eternal Union the Elect had with and in Christ before the foundation Eph 1:4

4According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

Eph 2:10 is a off shoot of that, being in Christ before the foundation, that is what I am explaining ! They were created in Him !

You are inventing another god and thus violating the first two commandments. There is no such god who is in eternal union with anyone other than the Three divine Persons of the Trinity. You are blaspheming God by either teaching polytheism (many gods) or worse teaching God is eternally in union with created things.

The only "eternal union" that Ephesians 1:4 is that of INTENT/PURPOSE where CREATED beings would be "created in Christ Jesus" - meaning they would be brought into union with Christ through new birth - sharing the image of God or true righteousness and holiness.

You are teaching absolute paganistic heresy.

He has to be very careful here, as is bordering on having 'another Christ and Gospel"

Your Jesus is not the Jesus of the Scripture that is for sure but "another Jesus" - 2 Cor. 11:4 with "another gospel" - Gal. 1:6-9 and you worship another god!

No yours isn't . Its that false Christ My Jesus was talking about here Matt 24:24

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

Sorry to disappoint you but the Jesus I serve is not working "great signs and wonders" by my hands. I don't claim to be a "prophet" as the nature of a god is defined by what he is ETERNALLY in union with.

However, your Jesus is inseparable from CREATED beings as he is eternally in union with created beings and thus your "jesus" is a polytheistic god.
