Someone who didn't know their nuclear physics? :D

More seriously, the same folks who are helping Iran?

What I'd really like to know is why we've been basically ignoring them the last few years while we went after Sadaam who couldn't find a nuclear device with both hands and gieger counter?

Uh . . . because saddam who could kill his own family members when they disagreed with him . . . and could hire the job done - did hire people to develop weaponry some of which probably ended up in N Korea . . .

Some of that technology is being sold by the weapons factories of N Korea to enemies of the USA . . .

Is killing family members really any worse than than letting a good portion of the civilian population starve to death?

Unfortunately, there was never any substantial proof that Saddam had workable WMD's, not that I actually doubt that he was trying.

The conflict I'm having is wondering why Iraq was more important than North Korea? Both leaders fall into the catagory of sadistic dictators who are desperately trying their best to get their hands on/develop WMDs that they will/would enivitably use againt America. Why Iraq, especially when the big fight against terrorism was and is in Afganistan?

Certainly you intended to add "after 1998". Because Saddam definitely used WMD on his own people and the Iranians . . .

He authorized the murder of at least 100,000 using WMD. From what I have seen in different news stories that number would probably be over 100,000 Iranian soldiers and at least that many Iraqi civilians.

    That is a bunch of killing . . .

Fortunately, Kim has not authorized killing on that scale - although his father did authorize the killing of a bunch of people (convential warfare).

But, Kim (both father and son) have carried out terrorists strikes (almost all aimed at S Korean leadership targets). And both actively sold to other terrorist organizations.

Saddam not only continued to try to purchase WMD precursors, he also supported terrorists financially, and paid for a terrorist attack (assasination attempt) against Geo. Bush, Sr.

. . . For all of Kim's insanity, his actual targets have always (almost always?) been against S Korean targets. And while he has funded much terrorism . . . Saddam funded the research that led to the second greatest weapons technology improvements of the last 3 decades. Only the USA can be argued as having done as much or more.

If you only knew what Saddam was building before we went in the first time . . . and before anyone says that we did not find it that time . . . the USA is deploying technology that most likely was developed by Iraq . . .

    It wasn't North Koreans?

Or maybe it was the hounds of hell. They could have been let out early.

Ann Coulter thinks they should be nuked:

"I think we ought to nuke North Korea right now just to give the rest of the world a warning. ... They’re a major threat. I just think it would be fun to nuke them and have it be a warning to the rest of the world." Interview with National Observer, January 6, 2005.
