In July 1984 I got on the internet.
In November 1984 Regan won the Presidency over Mondale.
I was too poor to get into politics - 300Baud modem,
you know, is slow enough to almost type that fast.
The cost was 50¢ per minute. We didn't talk about politics much.

Since then, each Election went this way:

In Nov 1988 Bush (father of the present Bush)
    won over Candidate Dukakis.

In Nov 1992 Bill Clinton won over Bush.

In Nov 1996 Bill Clinton won over
    Candidate Bob Dole.

In Dec 2000 Dubua Bush won over
Candidate Al Gore (this election was determined
    by the Supreme Court).

In November 2004 Dubua Bush won
    over Candidate John Kerry.

Such is politics in the New Age, the Third Millinnium (2001-3000)

People who are tortuted kill their torturer first chance
they get. Hardened Criminals can do this much better
    than nice people.

Juries will NOT sentence criminals to long sentences
if they know they will be tortured.
Torture & humiliation is NOT an American nor Christian
    value.

    JerryL:
//So there's no need to vote?
I asked this same question on another board.
I don't think the setting up of kings and priest of Israel
count quite the same as good ol USA voting,
if it is we all should just stay home
and not vote and let God take care of the Presidential bid.
I just don't see it the same as
in the Bible of God setting them up in Israel.//

Amen, Brother JerryL -- Preach it!

The Greek word 'katabole' is translated foundation
and with 'cosmos' is translated 'foundation of the world'.

In the New Testament there are 10 occurances of
'foundation of the world'. There are two conditions:

    pro (before)
    apo (since or from)

    Seven start with 'apo'
    Three start with 'pro'

    The differences are doctrinaly significant:
the three starting with 'pro' has to do with
God's love of Christ, God's selection of Christ,
and Christ's selection of we Christ-ones.

    1 Pe 1:20 (KJV1611): before = pro
who verily was foreordeined before the foundation
    of the world
, but was manifest in these last times for you.

    G2602
    καταβολή
    katabolē
    kat-ab-ol-ay'
    From G2598; a deposition, that is, founding;
    figuratively conception: - conceive, foundation.

    Rev 17:8 (KJV1769):
The beast that thou sawest, was, and is not, and shall ascend out of the bottomlesse pit, and goe into perdition, and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, (whose names were not written in the booke of life from the foundation of the world) when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

Foundation of the World in KJV1769:

    Mt 13:35 (KJV1769): from = apo
That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.

    Matthew 25:34 (KJV1769): from = apo
Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

    Luke 11:50 (KJV1769): from = apo
    That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation;

    John 17:24 (KJV1769): before = pro
Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

    Ephesians 1:4 (KJV1769): before = pro
According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

    Hebrews 4:3 (KJV1769): from = apo
For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

    Hebrews 9:26 (KJV1769): since = apo
For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

    Revelation 13:8 (KJV1769): from = apo
And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

    In general:

apo (since, from) the foundation refers to Yisrael
pro (before) the foundation refers to the largely Gentile Church
of the Church Age (also: Times of the Gentiles, Age of
the Gentiles, Age of Grace, etc).

Do you believe that everything you've done in your entire life, grade point average in high school, college attended, when you becane a Christian, who you married, how many children you had. what you had for breakfast this morning, was predestined before the beginning of the world? In other words do you believe you're nothing but a puppet. You have no personal morality. You've done nothing good or bad on your own?

No President of the United States will be elected in Jan. 2009

There may well be all kinds of individuals elected as presidents of any number of entities in January, 2009. It is highly unlikely (although, granted not impossible) that the President of the United States will be one of them, for the President-elect will likely be elected in December of 2008, and thru Jan. 20, 2009, we more than likely will already have a current President.

Sorry, the analogy is flawed, regardless of whatever "theological point" the OP is attempting to make.

Time is running OUT for the USA

Brothers and Sisters, While my personal support and vote will go for Dr.Paul,I'm terribly afraid (in the realistic sense) that the spiritually and morally declining country that we all hold dear is about to get what it deserves....a female DICTATOR with one world aspirations named Hillary Clinton and a Vice President named Obama. These people, regardless of what the media would have you believe are ANTI-BIBLICAL and will only further our national downfall by pushing through pro-choice issues,"gay" "rights" issues and the continued economic downward spiral we are NOW IN nationally. We are getting ready to PAY for our spiritual APATHY and lack of purity as well as the national CRIME/SIN of ABORTION/MURDER. The spiritually BLIND (and willingly so) American people are probably going to elect a moral and spiritual monstrosity.....and believe me....I HOPE I AM WRONG!!!!:praying: :tear:

Despite all the nonsense comments, the op asks who will be elected, not who you hope will be. The democratic nominee will be elected President. Why? With such a lousy bunch of candidates? Because the republicans failed to govern for the last 8 years.

But what about those times when the GOP controlled both houses and the White House?

If a party doesn't control the White House, it can't do much.

You should read the newspapers every 8 years or so. The Republicans had the Congress from 2001-2007, and failed miserably. That is why the Democrats won it back, and they continue to govern miserably. That is why the Democrats will win this year, because Republicans settled for a pseudo-conservative President that could not govern.

This is the exact mindset that perpetuates the present two party system.

Is this why the Democrats are willing to put up a less than negative calibered woman as their front runner??

Sure---the Republicans can do better than a McCain runner----but give me a break ---- the democrats can do better than a negative calibered woman named Clinton!!!! As a politician---shes about as low as you can get----I mean, Bill might like her as a wife----but she ain't my wife---I don't have to wake up every morning greeting her with a kiss---have mercy---SN---would you like to pucker up to something that looked like that????

Well, you got a point there. The only thing worse that comes to mind is waking up every morning to Janet Reno.

What is dreaded by a lot of people is a Giuliani/Romney vs any Democrat election next November, which in essence is a total pro abortion choice. What will a Christian do in that case?
