WHY SUCH THE RAGE?...WHY SUCH THE OUTCRY?...Where are these same emotions when it comes to our children, to our future? I’m talking we need to wake up and see the PRIORITIES in this life….hey, I know it is much easier to love and care for an animal than it is a human that can talk back, attack, and make you feel like crap. I get it, believe me, more than you will ever know. But animals aren’t exactly our future, yes they enhance our lives and make it more enjoyable, but we were NOT put here for animals, we were put here to GLORIFY GOD. And yes while we can glorify God in our humane care of animals…what about our “future” wasting away on the side of the road? Let’s say a child or even and adult child just so happens to have been left out in the sun on the side of the road, all beaten up, hungry, thirsty, as passer byers, whiz by, too busy with their own lives to make a difference. What can be the sad effects of this?…And why is it that we are so quick to pick up an animal in the same condition? ….BTW, what does the bible say about the “GOOD SAMARITAN?”

Let’s say we take this battered, hungry, thirsty, confused and scared child home, and try to figure out how to get this person who was made in the image of God, back to the way He intended them to be. Where does the “healing” process begin? I am sure the same way a dog lover would do for their dog, might be the same way to restore ones soul back to reality. A “kind” reality of an owner or authority figure who acts in a way that shows they can be TRUSTED, trusted with the POSITION God has put them. One that has been called to care, nurture and protect…Is this done by yelling and slapping the dog for crapping on the floor, or better yet rub their nose in it?...who the heck thought of that? But we do that to others when we hold unfair standards to those we have promised to CARE FOR AND PROTECT. What child or adult child would want to REPEAT that which they were so trying so hard to escape?...”FIGHT OR FLIGHT “…will often be the immediate response to pain and fear…if ones environment has always been one of abuse of authority, unfairness, injustice, not being listened to or really heard and understood, their dreams and goals crushed, due to jealousy or whatever….how else are they suppose to view those around them and sad to say even their creator? I am sure the HEALING comes from doing just the opposite, don’t you think?....TREAT OTHERS AS YOU WOULD WANT TO BE TREATED.

Let’s say a child or dog is left to fend for themselves, what are the possible sad repercussions of their abandonment? They may become fear biters; they may even at times try to bite the hand that feeds them. They may develop separation anxiety, and become self mutilating or destructed in some physical form, they may shy away from any kind of affection as the hand didn’t represent comfort, but one of pain. And then the cycle continues as long as we don’t get out of OURSELVES and seek the answers that are out there and that our creator has provided….to help those is desperate need. Easy to know what to do, it is another to actually do it…and yet we expect so much from others that which we ourselves are not able to give.

Like everything in life which road are we going to take?...right or wrong…pride or humbling ourselves….love or hate…continue the abuse or be the healer…. looking at the inward instead of the outward…the easy way or the one that takes work?..You get the point….let’s put as much energy into the wounded humans as we do our animals, and not at the expense of our own self preservation. …Just saying…:)

    Matt22...

I am not sure about youre primary premise. Not sure I am "getting" it.

I am an animal lover ((SUPREME)), and yet I certainly undersand that children are waaay more important, in the grand scheme of things, then animals.

And I think the vast majority of people do as well.

Maybe you could re-phrase your OP so I can get a grip on it.

Why don't you live by the words you print, like treating fellow believers that have been nothing but gracious to you with respect? You just keep doing the troll thread thing to vent your anger. Personally, I do not appreciate your lack of respect for fine folks on this board. It is just like a fly at a picnic, your threads just keep coming back.

    Just BECAUSE....

....because they never need their parents to come to the principals office for a special meeting...they never require a bails bondsman, or defense attorney...they don't eat you out of house and home...they don't sass you, or challenge your authority over them as God's perfect order of things in creation...they are always ready and willing to love you without condition...they won't cuss at you, or smoke and drink beer...they never borrow the family car, and that saves on insurance, gas and worrying when they are later than the curfew you set for them [there is no need for curfews]...you don't have to worry about them making stupid choices that will stick with them and their parents for a lifetime...you can discipline and teach them and they still love you without condition...they don't require a larger house with more bedrooms...they don't need expensive clothing [well some may wear clothes, but it is definitely optional]...they are low maintenance, and don't cost you anything near as much as it costs to raise a child in today's world...there are less stressors for pet parents than carbon-based children...they are as cute a a bug-in-a-rug, and you can leave them home alone and not have to pay a babysitter...and FINALLY, they are God's creations too, and God needs loving folks and families to care for His critters, just as much as He needs carbon-based parents to raise kids they bring into this world.

Besides, with the way this world is going; it is a touch choice on whether to bring a child into this world with all its quirks and growing love for sin. Our pets NEVER disappoint us, and they usually grow up like we desire them to, without all the autonomy and weird lifestyle choices kids make today because of bad influences the media, schools, and world in general saturate our kids brains with day-after-day-after-day!

It is a true miracle when a parent(s) can bring up a child that walks in the way of the Lord and His Word. This is a tough world, and it takes special people to be parents. I am not that kind of person. I am good at giving advice to kids and parents, but, being an actual parent....isn't for me. I know my place and calling, and it is to be a good fur-parent. I believe that God has rewards for those who are good to His animals, so why not be extra good to the ones that need our love and care to live out their life a little more pampered then the dog or cat down the street :saint:

WOW, I'm sorry raising kids for you was such a bummer...I thoroughly ENJOYED raising my kids...overall they were and still are blessings to me. But then again I was a "balanced" parent, who raised balanced adults.

My article was more geared for all of us taking responsibility for not only our own children but the children of the world and our ADULT children who never healed from the abuses of their childhood, cause no one (in the church) takes the time to minister to them. Authority figures in the church and out continue the abuse them and then wonder why so many are messed up.

We have so many children who are so screwed up by their upbringing and environment, yet most would rather put their energy, resources, money and time into creatures rather that God created. Sex trafficking alone is an overwhelming epidemic.

    anyway, I get your point.

You raising kids??? So my question, where did you find the time to devote to children from conception to college graduation? I mean, you were spending so much time trying to get even with individuals and the world, how did you ever cram that into your schedule?

I consider kids a blessing from the Lord. So do the rest of members in this thread. No one said they are a burden. There is maybe an expression with frustration, as there is with anything in life. My kids turned out fine. It is your same old pattern, create a false division amongst members or a problem that does not exist (strawman) and be the champion for the good side of the false problem.

I believe you would have been a great substitute for the novel "Don Quixote" slayer of the imaginary dragon. You never did answer my question about what people eat and smoke in California.

If you need to question my sincerity....

....than we are both in trouble. Shalom can mean "peace!" And I was wishing you "peace" for your comments and words. No sarcasm implied. I'm not like some on the board, but, then again, because we are all unique, and not cookie-cutter Christians none of us are alike.

I hope and pray you can get out of the defensive mode, and just be you. I think you have a lot to offer this board and its many wonderful, well meaning folks. I think, from what I've been reading, that quite a few folks are reaching out to you, and not in a way to hurt you.

So, :tonofbricks: the fences of defense, and try to enjoy the board!

AND, for the last time: SHALOM!:thumbs:

    I'll answer that....

 because the state is broke, we eat a lot of Spam and Kraft Mac & Cheese. And on most days in the dog days of a summer afternoon, if we brave going outdoors, we eat a ton of SMOG and come back home and choke on it

Nope Dude, no defensiveness...just waking the church up to TRUTH!...Satan hates TRUTH though, so opposition and mean spiritedness just comes with the territory.

I am doing what God has called me to do

II Timothy 3:1-5,7 "But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of god; holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth."

1 Corinthians 15:33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.

Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

Matthew 12:36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

God has not called you to a life of disobedience and disrespect.
God has not called you to a life of crude, rude, and foul language.
God has not called you to post in Baptist forums when you are not a Baptist.
God has not called you to directly disobey the rules of this board, when you agreed to abide by them when you registered. That is deceit and rebellion. Rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft.

You say you are doing what God has called you to do.
I say not. Your posts and life; the fruit of which you post does not demonstrate a life of which God would call anyone to do.
