At the C-Store - I am a clerk. A man came in and wanted to buy a pack of cancer sticks and a gallon of milk. He paid the $5.50 for the sticks but was going to put the $3 milk on his card. He ran his card thur the machine - it came up denied - I then realzied it was an EBT card (food stamps). He did the logical thing - he put the milk back and kept the ciggs. ( our store does not accept EBT)

He had $5.50 in cash. He thought it was more important to buy his ciggerates instead of milk.

My problem - those food stamps are paid for with my tax money.
