    THE AGE OF DELUSION
    AND THE TWO PARTY CHARADE

    By: David Brownlow

It is hard to believe we will soon be suffering, once again, through the indignity of another congressional election. We should be used to this swindle by now, as the same thing happens every two years. It is the old "right is good, left is bad" version of the classic good cop/bad cop scam. And the American breed of lapdog known as "the conservative" falls for it every time.

These are the steps used to create the illusion that we have real elections between two real political parties:

    1. In the months leading up to an election, Republicans start to rail against the Democrats for being a pack of wild, big-spending socialists who are driving us into bankruptcy. While that is certainly true, the Republicans say this while they continue to blow money in massive chunks – cranking up federal spending by over 70% and burning through three trillion dollars in new debt since they took control of Congress in 1994!

    2. Republicans promise to "fix" the schools, "save" Social Security, and "win" the war on terror. They promise this while the schools continue to brainwash our kids with paganism, while the Social Security "Trust Fund" is a total fraud that is trillions in debt, and while we are at a higher risk of terror attacks now than we were before the "war" on terror started. All of which is occurring while the Republicans have been in charge!

    3. Republicans talk of liberty and the spread of democracy throughout the world. This is while over half a million American troops are stationed in 140 of the world's 193 countries, and our dictator-in-chief has no apparent limit on his power as he fights the "war on terror." Republicans talk of freedom, while we ruthlessly crush any opposition to our "liberation" of Iraq - killing tens of thousands of Iraqi civilians in the process!

    4. They pull the homosexual boogieman out of the closet and tell us we need to elect Republicans or else the homosexuals will take over the country - while they appoint homosexuals to high government positions and allow the federal courts to run roughshod over state sodomy laws.

    5. Then, just weeks before the election, it really starts to get fun. The propaganda machine is shifted into high gear in order to persuade some of the most gullible people on the planet - pro-life Americans - that the way to end the abortion holocaust is through blind loyalty to the Republican Party. They are able to pull it off time after time, and probably will again in 2006, in spite of the fact that U.S. government sponsored abortionists have murdered 14,000,000 American children during the eleven years Republicans have controlled congress – while they sat back and did absolutely nothing to stop it.

After the euphoria of an election "victory" winds down, usually within a couple of days, the masses go back to sleep. And for the next two years, they ignore the fact that we are hurtling at full throttle towards a moral and fiscal train wreck – while the Republicans have been at the wheel!

Then, right before the next election, "conservatives" stumble out of their stupor just long enough to fall for the "moral values" sob story once again. And the cycle repeats itself. We re-elect the same reprobates and criminals who orchestrated the total collapse of this nation's moral values - in some naive hope they will start to improve the moral condition of our nation if we will give them just one more chance...

Which is the very definition of insanity!

Well, Brother Curtis: what do you think about the issues raised by this author? Although I have found some on this list who are so polarized that they simply dismiss anything said that is not fully supportive of the Administration, I have found you to be insightful.

    What are your thoughts?

I trust that God is blessing you and your family,

    BiR

P.S. Greetings from Idaho. It is beautiful here, but I doubt I will get to enjoy the outdoors on this trip. Every time I come out here, I think about the quality of life you and your family have out in the part of the country.

I think the article is full of insults & innuendo.

Republicans never promised to fix social securtity, or education. What they said was it could be fixed. It needed to be fixed.

Bush is no consertvative, and I never said he was.

But I don't like being called gullible & stupid, so it is very hard for me to take anything in the article seriously. You know, kinda like if Rush Limbaugh actually said something that you agreed with, your personal feelings about the man would still be the first thought.

I was on the Montana/Idaho border on Thursday, skiing in the Bitterroot Mountains, in 24" of fresh powder. I hates to brag, but if there is a more beautiful place that the Northwest, God is keeping it to himself.....

I know this place called by our family as "top of the world" in the Siskiyou Mts. that is inaccessable in winter, but I feel about it's beauty as you do about the Bitterroots. Such beauty in a sin cursed world.
