Sounds like a good reason to me
Could it be not the demons on commercial airliners that they might order and be seen but the demons in the jets cabinet that they enjoy and other don't see... I read a book on preachers many years ago and it was and expose' of their practices unseen and what goes on behind closed doors. What was interesting to me was what was reported by one of Oral Roberts close confidants that after being flown in and peaching a Godly loving message to Indians he commented as leaving get me away from these dirty savages... A man of God?... You decide!... These preachers want all the trapping finery and riches ignorant, deceived, blind, dumb people will allow them to have and smile in taking it saying God Bless You while laughing in their evil hearts all the way to the bank... They would take the last widows mite and thing nothing of it... It took the PTL fiasco to show just how crooked they are and those of their rank... Their will always be wolves in sheep's clothing from the Christ and the Apostles until now or maybe we can trace it all the way back to the garden... Yeah hath God said?... I've been fortunate not to having any run ins in my life with men of the above mentioned character only read, seen and heard of their dealings with Gods people but we should be warned "GOD IS NOT MOCKED"... They will answer for their deeds... I leave it in his hands... Brother Glen
2 For our fight is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
They are stupid.
I know of only one pilot on here and maybe it is time for him to fess up... TC where are you hiding your private Jet?... Brother Glen
See, I could see having a plane for pleasure. Every person has something they like to do for fun. Our senior pastor (well, now pastor emeritus) collects old Mercedes Benz. We, of course, have a sailboat. But to say that you need a jet for ministry and it's not coming out of your own pocket? Umm - NOT!
I saw this video and it made me sad. So very sad. Jesus sat with the sinners AND saints so why can't we?
I don't see a problem with a private jet - especially with security ( ie time to go thur airport security)
but the problme is with the EXTREME LUXURY private planes.
Perhaps he hopes to minister to the people who crew his jet. *laugh*
Seriously though, I can think of several less expensive options for someone who absolutely cannot fly commercial. Problem is that they are not as flashy.
And people tend not to think past the cost of purchasing the aircraft. Fuel, maintenance, crew training, hangar, insurance... These are all ongoing expenses.
What is scary is ppl falling for these money ploys. These ppl are getting that which they want. These goonish preachers are sent as a judgment unto them...
I been running this through my mind for awhile and asked myself why are these group of men known as Prosperity Preachers?... Who is really prospering from their preaching?... The same ones that own the luxury jets, that's who!... Pass the plate!... Brother Glen
Exactly. It blows my mind how folks in their congregations can hear this foolishness and still sit underneath this wickedness?
I believe you may be correct. When folks get so consumed over the love of money, they want to be around folks who are the same way. It's crazy how when congregants really need help, they can't get it from these folks.
The Late Dave Wilkerson moved to Texas - to be in the center of the Country - to make it easy for him to travel by (private) bus thurout the United States. He was afraid of flying. (Hmm would he have had trouble had the rapture occurred )
Yeah them fear of flying folk will really be in trouble when the rapture comes... Oh no say it is not so!... They maybe be "Left Behind"... Brother Glen
Ive heard told that 53% of the worlds population lives on $2.00 dollars a day.
There's really no reason why a preacher or evangelist needs his own private plane.
If they are flying all over the country tight schedule - on a - I could understand it.
Now if a preacher is more regional - then it is not necessary.
Well I have read of circuit riding preachers of the past but speaking of real preachers that fly around the country preaching should a new termed be coined... How about circuit flying preachers... Brother Glen
Not all private aircraft are jets, like not all boats are luxury yachts. It is not only the wealthy who fly private planes.
I agree but in this case, it's definitely a jet. $60 million and he asked his followers to pay for it.
And actually most boats that you would not expect are considered "yachts". A yacht is just generally a recreational boat or ship. According to the insurance, even an 18' bow rider would be considered a yacht. Our 42 foot sailboat has always been termed a yacht by the insurance company.
