This sounds just about right. I've had teeth fixed. I've been on the giving end of cheap dental work. No grudges.

Men fight for about 5 minutes. Then help each other up. Women go at it for an hour, and try to scratch each others eyes out, pull hair, I would not get between the two. You ever notice how many male friends will try and pull their buddies off each other ?

Worst fight I ever broke up since I started teaching was between two 16-year-old girls, both pregnant by the same 16-year-old redneck skuzz-bucket. They both had to have corrective surgery on their faces, and the fight lasted less than a minute.

Nice. Bet all three are U.S. Senators, now, eh ?

I'm 6'1, 210 lbs, and threw my weight around pretty good back when I played hockey. The worst beating I ever took was from a guy about 5'8", and it was only three punches. And let me tell you, it's hard to throw a punch, with skates on.

I ended up getting him a job at the juvenile delinquent lock up facility, where I worked at the time. We actually started working out together, and my life was richer for meeting him.

I wouldn't call her dumb. But it does concern me that she appears to be very ignorant and uniformed about world affairs. Some of those answers, or rather non answers with Couric were brutal. As far as being edited, well that is a lame excuse, in that position one needs to know how to answer hard questions. You can blame "taken out of context" if someone edits it to look like you were saying something to mean one thing when in fact in the context of the entire thought meant something different. But her just not able to properly answer was slightly alarming. The one that really struck me was when asked about what magazines and papers she read to keep informed about world events. She was just clueless, she just fumbled around and could not name one, and when pressed on it after about the third try she just said something like "you know all of them". I would like my vice-president to be well informed and well read on what is happening in the world and it was very apparent she does not read much if at all about the current events. If someone read something daily or weekly it would not be something you had to even think about you would just respond.

That said I am 100% supporting her and McCain. I have always voted republican my entire life, and will gladly do so again. Also I like Palin, and think she has a political skill that few do, and can be a good leader and decision maker, she is refreshing. However it is time for her to start learning more, and fast, so she is ready to take over if needed. So while I do like her a lot, I also have to be honest and acknowledge where criticism is valid.

I have a great deal of respect for this post...

It is refreshing to see someone look at the world for what it is and be honest with himself and others.

I don't think Palin is dumb. She comes across as somewhat folksy and she speaks in an unusual manner. She has also been put in a very high profile position rather quickly. The pressure must be enormous.

It is apparent she has committed a lot of key phrases and surface level views on positions to memory. I guess I would like someone who has more depth and understanding of the issues instead of just memorizing talking points. That was her problem with the Couric interviews, she had answers but when pushed to expound like what magazine or what decision it then became apparent all she had was talking points bu no real depth or understanding.

This is not dumb, her knowledge is just in other areas.

She was also told to stand behind some thin facts that were frankly insulting to most American's. I can google Russia but it doesn't give me foreign policy experience. Why keep talking about that bridge when everyone knew the truth? Even the pipeline which Canada has yet to approve? Why exaggerate in a day and age where facts are easily obtained by the masses? That is kind of insulting to me.

Lastly, the president is chief lawmaker and responsible for enforcing the laws of the land. Chief executor of the constitution. It would help if you knew some of the laws and the decisions behind how they came about. That is something I give to Biden, McCain and Obama. The first two have years in the business and Obama was top of his Harvard law class.

Last lastly, she is too much like a cheerleader to me. I can't really picture her representing the US in the international community. Not appearing mightiest of all the world leaders.

Now as for my reason women hate her, it's because their guys are checking her out.

She speaks to Americans, and that is what I like most about her. Our international standing means a hill of beans, to me. They all worship the U.N., so their opinion should mean little to ANY true American. They all hate Americans until Germany gets too big.....

Well, I'll admit, she ain't hard to look at.....

HUh? What laws has any president made? And just how does he enforce them?

Maybe it would help if you could explain how 'some of the laws and decisions came about"

A cheerleader in the international community? I cant believe that a liberal would object to Palin, when the last liberal president put Albright in as Sec of State, and Reno in as attorney general. Oh, and what was that ladie's name who was the joke of a surgeon general? And her son was arrested for selling crack in Little Rock? Do we have a surgeon general now, or did she tarnish the position forever?

I think it would be safe to say that Palin would be the best looking VEEP in history.

As far as representing us in the internatinal community, I would rather sit across the table from Palin much more than say....Madeline Albright.

    Just my opinion.

I believe she speaks AT American's and not TO American's. If she would speak from her heart then I would agree she is speaking TO American's but communicating only with sound bites makes me feel she is speaking AT us and not TO us. I would like to hear from her heart but I don't think her handlers have told her what her heart feels at this point or are the concerned. It's ashamed because she had real potential until she became a politician over the last month.

We care what the world thinks when it comes to the war in Iraq but loose that concern when it comes to the leader we put out front. I don't get that logic.

Presidents introduce legislation to the house to be considered. Remember the last one Bush sent? He enforces the laws and constitution vis his cabinet and other appointed officials. The head the different departments of government and act on his behalf. He is ultimately responsible which means he should know a little something about what each department does.

I will take this as just sarcasm but will add, knowing why the law or amendment came about helps us interpret and apply it with it's true intent later. It is because we have lost this incite that we now have a government confused on things like what separation between Church and State. We don't clearly understand why the founding fathers put this clause in the constitution which is the key to understanding how it applies today.

I wouldn't call Albright or Reno a cheerleader??? My point was not about Women as I believe we have some really great women in high office. I think Conde is a name that stands on it's own merits.

My point, I don't know how effective, "there you go again Putin" would be. She is undeniably overly perky which can easily be misinterpreted as a weakness on the international stage. This misunderstanding could make us have to use a higher level of diplomacy than if one is taken serious from the onset. Also, I don't know what the surgeon general has to do with the international community but it doesn't surprise me coming from a party who believes seeing Russia is foreign policy experience.

She will learn, she has already learned. She is not dumb. She is very smart. Just because she doesn't know the political games.....Biden spouted exactly what the machine expected.
