I have always been a Pats fan all my life. Both teams have what it takes to be winners. Both Teams are great football teams. [IMG]

If not this next season, then the following season watch out for the Cowboys in the NFC. :D

It is so difficult to repeat in the NFL these days, New England seems to have what it takes to do it - Brady has proven himself the last three years, and I dont think the salary cap is going to kill them.

Carolina on the other hand had a great run but the competition is going to be gunning for them next year. They seem to have a good coach, running game and O and D lines. To me the question is the QB, is he for real or a flash in the pan. Unlike Brady Dlehomme has only done it for a partial season - he could be greatness, or he could be a fake.

Then the real killer for teams tying to repeat - injuries.

Pats get 7 draft picks in first 4 rounds (or something like that). Sure will help "build a dynasty".

Agree, though, that it is all about health. Jake went down and Denver could never recover. Favre's dad died and it DID affect his mindset (along with his bad thumb).

Brady sure seems to be the "Real thing" at age 26. I'd give NE an EXCELLENT chance to repeat.

Will New England repeat as NFC winner?

Absolutely not. Can you see why?

While I have been a Patriots fan for as long as I have followed the NFL, I am not sure that I would feel confident that they will repeat. After all, in 2002 it seemed like they should do much better than just missing the playoffs. No one expected TB and the Raiders to miss the playoffs this year. And really, who expected the Pats to win 15 straight?

I guess it must be the Red Sox fan in me... I can't bring myself to be 100% optimistic. To expect a dynasty seems too... Steinbrenner-esque. :)
