We are wireless networked where I work and on my laptop there, I installed a Belkin Wireless Notebook Network Card 802.11b on my HP pavilion (not a newly purchased card - previously used with an airport in the building on a different laptop). I'm not having any luck with it so far. This is a first time install and I'm receiving a message something like this software has not been approved by Microsoft Windows XP. Research the Microsoft Windows Logo Program.

Someone suggested a driver might take care of the problem so I looked at downloadable drivers on the Belkin web site. Unfortunately, drivers and such are mostly greek to me.

Outside of purchasing a new network card (with the Windows XP logo?), can anyone advise me on whether or not a particular driver would do the trick?

    Thanks ...
    PJ

When Windows gives you that message about the driver not being certified or whatever, you should have an option to install it anyway, no? Belkin has drivers here:
    http://www.belkin.com/support/download.asp?category=9&lang=1&mode=

you will need to locate the model number on your wireless card to make sure you get the right one.

It did give that option, and I clicked on the "continue anyway" button.

Okee dokee, I'll give it a shot! Your help is much appreciated!!
