    News flash:

WHen you're being ugly to folks, and other Christians reprimand you, that doesn't count as "persecution for the sake of Christ." That counts as "Christians rebuking you for acting ugly."

    Sorry to burst your bubble.

I don't reckon you plan on apologizing to the ladies you've insulted, do you?

When people correct you, do you always assume this passage applies to the situations?

Wow....you must be holier than I thought.

No, I only consider that scripture to fit my situation when I speak against the world's views of modesty and when you condone it. Frankly, when I see you taking up for the world and are in aggreance with each other -- that scripture speaks for itself. I stepped on your toes about your "Christian" wear and you call it "insulting." Prepare to meet thy God- Amos 4:12.

There is no such thing as "christian clothing".

umm....I'm a proponent of modest dress.

Shane, I honestly don't get the anger. If you're this mad at fellow Christians, how do you feel about lost folk? And exactly what kind of witness is that?

Shane, all you did was insult Godly women and call your actions "Christian". There is nothing Christian about insulting people.

Thank you for coming to my rescue. I do appreciate it. :)

OK - that was amazingly unGodly talk, Shane. My morals and standards are just as are lined up in God's Word. God speaks of sexuality in the Scriptures - have you read Song of Solomon? What goes on between a husband and wife is amazingly beautiful and far from sinful. I did not speak of anything more specific than the fact that nakedness is part of the marriage bed. I'm sorry you're uncomfortable with that.

So, nakedness in any form is sinful? Then I will admit to being sinful in the shower this morning, sinful when I am in the marriage bed, sinful when I birthed each of my 4 children and sinful when I had other surgeries. I guess I don't see God saying that ANY nakedness is sinful since Song of Solomon speaks quite clearly about it. Nakedness in public would be sinful. But we're speaking of clothing - not nakedness.

Just to note - I'm Ann not Amy.

Again, that's quite rude Shane. My purpose is not to show off what I got because all I got are a bunch of stretch marks and cellulite. I do it to stay cool.

    Scripture please?

I have the Holy Spirit in me and I know that if it were in defiance of God's Word, He'd convict me, not you. A sleeveless shirt and bermuda shorts are not immodest. Maybe they are to you but they are not to God. I have covered what is to be covered and there is nothing that you could post from Scripture that would say otherwise. I'll listen to God rather than a young man who seems to be lacking wisdom.

Since you have no first-hand knowledge about whether a dress is cooler or not (it's not), I'll let this one go as ignorance on the subject.

Again, quite judgmental when you do not even know me. Yes, I'm a woman but I am most certainly a lady. "Half naked" by who's standards? I am fully dressed in whatever I wear.

When the world hates you - not when the brethren disagree with you. Sorry Shane, you cannot claim these verses in this context.

Wow... I'm still seeing examples of Pharisees not being "fair, you see." Can you tell I'm in Vacation Bible School this week?

What about this smiley? :wavey: He's not covering anything up, and is apparantly proud of it!! :BangHead:

Wearing a dress is not commanded in Scripture. Wearing sleveless shirts are not prohibited.

Show me the Scripture that addresses either. You can't. End of discussion.

Modesty is commanded. Particular clothing items aren't. Don't be obtuse.

Questioning someone's salvation... even saying they're "of the world" is off limits dude, even if it is JUST YOUR OPINION. Don't trip and fall off your high horse when you decide to come down... we might see a less than modest view of you.

I hope Ann's husband doesn't see your arrogant, disrespectful, judgemental, churlish, and childish post. I would be very angry if any man, even a 17 year old boy, talked to my wife this way.

Don't talk about letting no man despise your youth. You do that by being an example to other believers - your example is one of how to destroy and divide the body of Christ.

You have NO right to judge this lady, none.

This is my one and only post, I refuse to debate with disrespectful children.

1 Sam 16:7 But the Lord said to Samuel, "Do not look at his appearance or the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart."

Ann is one of the best Christians I know...

How dare someone come on here and slam her this way!
Shane if you want your women to dress like FDLS women, go ahead...
Join a cult.. it seems like you have already been influenced by cult like teaching....

If feel sorry for the women in your life! Please be nice to Ann.

I think a 17 year old young man discussing nudity and body parts with an adult married woman to be WAY out of line. I remember being 17...we know everything at that age. You have been given biblical advice and reprimands...listen to it.

What does this mean? By not replying, aren't you just wasting space? Or maybe you're trying to get your post number up?

Shane, your brand of modesty borders on women abuse...

And we see that by the way you verbally abused Ann..

    Go get counselling.
