Now that a federal appeals court has allowed a new pro-life law in Texas to take effect, as many as 12 abortion clinics are slated to temporarily close because they can’t comply with the law’s requirements to protect women’s health from dangerous abortions.

The law requires abortion practitioners to have admitting privileges at a local hospital within 30 miles of the location of the abortion clinic to be able to transport women quickly and easily in medical emergencies when they are injured by botched abortions. As many as 12 abortion clinics across the state can’t comply with that requirement that is expected of legitimate medical centers.

I imagine this isn't done in the courts. I for one, am glad that less abortions will be happening. I haven't read enough to know how the courts will handle this in the future.

Shh...some on the BB maintain that there is no difference between Democrats and Republicans. They get quite hot under the collar if anyone would dare to challenge that premise.

Well, confusion sometimes develops as one wends his/her way to the truth.

That's like saying, I for one, am glad fewer Jews will be gassed.

    How magnanimous.

It was a statement about the tenuous nature of such so called victories. For now I'm glad less abortions will be happening.

Less death is good, or don't you agree? Or, it could be that you're just being a snarky ass and don't have anything to offer to the conversation

It may be decades before we ever see a total ban on abortions - until then, any measure to stop even one abortion is good.

Stop and think about the anti-smoking. Had they demanded a full ban on smoking back in the '60 they would have been totally ingnored. Rather they took extremly small baby steps. Look at their sucess over the past 50 years.

If I were the dicator of the Socalists States of Amerikia - I would ban all abortions - but folks that just aint gonna happen

Be thankful for every child who is born in spite of those who insist that a child is only a blob.
