In fairness to the poll I put up for members to grade the DNC Convention, let's have you grade the Republican Convention that took place last week. Again, comments are welcomed, but please give an actual grade per the attached poll. Thanks!

My comments are that at first the idea of Trump's family speaking every night turned me off, but after I watched each night's telecast, I rather enjoyed family, as it allowed me to become more familiar with the man running for president. Prior to family speeches, I had questions about Trump. But his family showed me that the man did an excellent job raising the kids.

I think a more personal approach and less political endorsements would make the conventions more interesting. I don't believe the kids can fake their opinions of the man they call 'dad!' Very genuine, down to earth.

I saw very little of the conventions due to my work schedule -
I would want to base it on actually watching it my self and not depend on the commetators, regardless of the network.
Thus I am not qualified to give an honest grade.
(but I have put several snippets on facebook

Dwelling on fear and negativity was a real turn-off. Also, there were no specifics of how Trump can accomplish anything he has proposed.

I hope you know "that" ("...for booing voting your conscience and for Freedom and the Constitution.") is a very twisted accusation to make of the crowd and merely demonstrates poor judgment at best concerning the real reason they were booing Mr. Pickle Face....

That's not why they booed. This was a republican convention, where the members of the party were supposed to show their unified support of their candidate. Cruz not only supported a fracture of the party, he went there knowing full well that's what the event was for, that he had been asked to speak to help show a unified front against Hillary Clinton--and he let his personal conflict with Trump outweigh the goals of his political party. At the very least, he should have declined, or bowed out before he spoke.

His words were true and good; his execution was poor taste and poor judgment. He deserved to be booed.

I would tell you that the analogy is a pulpit committee member who agrees to present a man to be pastor of a church, knowing full well that he was going to vote against him.

    RNC convention, let's see:

    Day 1: Floor fight
    Day 2: Plagiarism
Day 3: Trump trashes 50 years of NATO policy and delegates display of disunity by booing Cruz off stage orchestrated by Trumpeteers.
Day 4: Overly long and yelled aloud dictator-like Trump speech: "America the Doomed" presenting him as the ONLY person that can fix it. Not one word about sanctity of life.

Days 1 through 4: B-List celebrities and Trump's family make up the bulk of the speakers. No former Republican presidents or nominees speak. Rising star Joni Ernst's speech pushed off of prime time. Coverage breaks away as Trump phones in to Fox News during heartfelt speech by mom whose son was killed in Benghazi. Crowd of delirious celebrity stricken GOP delegates shouting "YES YOU CAN!" during Trump's speech were the same people four years ago that mocked DNC delegates for shouting, "YES WE CAN" during Obama's speech.

    I gave them a D. If I could it would have been a D-minus.

To whomever gave the grade of "A", you have low expectations.

I know what I saw and heard. Considering the booing was orchestrated by Trump for him to pick this line: " vote your conscience. Vote for candidates up and down the ticket who you trust to defend our freedom and to be faithful to the Constitution.” is telling about Trump problem with freedom and the Constitution, and of course his conscience.
A better analogy would be a Decone that gets up and ask the congregation to make sure they are voting for a man that is Biblically qualified to be a pastor and the congregation booing him out of the church because they know the man they plan on voting in is not qualified.

All Cruz did that night was rip the mask off the Trump party to show what an Anti-Freedom, Anti Conscience, and Anti- Constitution party they are.

And the sad thing is, Democrats have shown to have more principles than the Trump party with how they were very unhappy with Sanders endorsement of Clinton.

Overall, 51% of Americans say the convention made them less likely to vote for Trump, while 36% said it made them more likely to vote for him. This is the highest "less likely to vote" percentage for a candidate in the 15 times Gallup has asked this question after a convention. The previous "less likely" high was 38% after both conventions in 2012, and after the GOP conventions in 2004 and 2008.

I haven't voted in the poll but you expectations are out of hate and most likely derangement. You are not an objective bystander.

Then Cruz, if he is an honorable man should become a member of the Constitutional Party
    and support Darrell Castle
; and immediately change his registration to the CPTX

In addition, he should resign his Senate seat and run again on the Constitution Party line.

So basically you applaud the Democrats for booing continually, but it is shameful when Republicans booed for part of ONE speech. Got it.

    LINK - USA TODAY
'Donald Trump got a 6-point bump and has passed Hillary Clinton coming out of the Republican convention, according to a new CNN/ORC poll.

'The poll had the Republican nominee at 48% and Clinton at 45% in a head-to-head match-up. CNN's survey earlier in July had Clinton ahead 49% to 42% over Trump.

Real Clear Politics now shows Trump edging Clinton by 0.2 points in its latest rolling average of polls.'

The Democrats were booing Sander's lack of backbone and Principles, the Trump party was booing principles and conscience and freedom and the Constitution. Its the part of the speech that they booed that is shameful but enlightening. The Trump party showed itself to be anti-freedom and anti-Constitution.

That is your characterization and it is not accurate. They were booing his coming on and giving a speech at a convention naming him the official candidate and not supporting him. No one argues or boos conscience they do however boo standing at that convention and not supporting Trump. Cruz did not have to show up. He did not need to be there.

Why in the world would they be upset? Trump has said "I don't need Ted Cruz's support. I don't need his endorsement." So why the acrimony?

Cruz showed up there and showed his lack of support. If you can't understand why that is a problem then it just further shows your derangement.
