I picked up a great new Bible today while visiting Thomas the Train in Lancaster, PA.

A Reader's Greek New Testament, 2nd edition. [Amazon LINK]

There are a couple of things that make this Bible unique.

    1. It's not just a Greek text.
My Greek is poor to fair; a pure Greek text bible wouldn't help me much.
Then again, an interlinear bible is overkill.
Interlinear bibles make learning Greek difficult because they do all the work for you.
The text of the Reader's Greek NT provides a simple lexiconal definition of words used 30 times or less at the bottom of each page.
This bible will actually develop and promote your Greek skills.

    2. It's not the textus receptus or the NA27/UBS4 Greek text.
It a modern eclectic mix developed by Gordon Fee et al and used in the translation of the TNIV.
Differences between the Standard text, NIV and TNIV Greek texts are usually noted.

    3. The look and feel is attractive.
The brown stitched Italian duo-tone leather is soft and lies flat when reading.
It looks very solid and durable.

    4. The single column text in a comfortable sized font makes easy reading.

No more confusion or delay, this is the Greek text to have!

Looks like a dilly, Rob. But my next one will be a Byzantine Textform NT. I have a PDF of it, but it would be nice to have in hard copy.

Another interesting recently published Greek NT is the reverse interlinear:

I was given one a few months ago, and it is a really interesting approach. In a reverse interlinear you have the English Bible with the Greek words underneath, instead of vice versa. Real handy!
