Youth Choir Music (Non-Contemporary)

    I was in something called "teens involved" which is youth choirs that compete. My favorite song we ever sang was "Shout to the Lord" granted it wouldnt be considered southern gospel its defiantely appropriate. Its not real upbeat or anything......its a great song. We all enjoyed it and made it to nationals for the first time!!!

    The youth in the choir has a huge roll in what we sing. I don't want to tell them what to sing, i want to know what they want to sing. So your right and they have suprised me a few times.

    I'm the co-director of our Jr. High choir, and there are a lot of elderly people in our church, so we go totally non-contemporary, but I do try to incorporate some stuff that the kids would have fun with, so it's kind of hard to find a good balance, but I could probably come up with about 100 or so good ideas, and the lyrics.
