God Knows The Future
God knows every sin I would ever commit before He gave me the new birth. If I were somehow going to reject Christ in the future and die lost, God already knew that. Therefore, it would be a useless act to give me the new birth. God does nothing in vain. Once a person is born again, it is forever; it is eternal.
Scripture says to make your calling an election sure. Don’t just think you are saved, make sure you are. Examine yourselves whether you be in the faith. If we judge ourselves, we... -
Righteous Faith
A question to ask yourselves is "Does God credit the faith of some humans as righteous faith?" See Romans 4:4-5 and Romans 4:23-25. The answer of course is yes.
How about does God ask fallen individuals to put their faith in Christ? The answer of course is yes.
Does John 3:16 indicate everyone whose faith is credited as righteous faith will not perish?
The answer of course is yes.
Some claim individuals, after hearing the gospel revelation, choose to believe and thus save themselves.... -
Is the Doctrine of the Trinity wrong? (Eternal Generation/ eternally begotten)
As Baptists we are not creedal Christians. At the same time, we often define our doctrines by creeds as a historical representation of orthodoxy.
The Doctrine of rhe Trinity is expressed primarily in three creeds. The most often used is the Chalcedonian to express orthodox Christianity in regard to the Persons of the Godhead.
One important fact is that to deny one part is to deny the whole (it is to hold a different doctrine).
Another fact is that we, as Baptists, are not bound to... -
Does the Epistle to the Ephesians Prove the Reformed Are illogical & Unreason
I would like to prove on this thread that it does.
For starters, I say this letter was written by Paul to the Ephesian Church in the province of Asia where he spent a considerable amount of time and had much disputation with the Jews there. He wrote this letter in 60 AD and like all the epistles, it was written to explain the history and to reveal the mystery that is the New Testament church of Jesus Christ which was being formed at this time by both Jews and gentile members. This mystery... -
I Am Nothing, Christ Is All
"But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ."—2 Corinthians 11:3.
And what is "the simplicity that is in Christ?" The apostle answers this question in another part of his writings, when he saith, "Christ is all, and in all." Now nothing can be more simple than this: "Christ is all;" then it would be equal folly to seek for happiness in any thing but in Christ. And "Christ is in... -
SIN TO DEATH
Sin To Death
“These things I have written to you who believe in the Name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life. This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him. If anyone sees his brother committing a sin not leading to death, he shall ask and God will for him give life to those who... -

How can you be honestly a KJVONLYIST?
Since 1968 I have been a pro KJV advocate. Also since 1968 I could honestly never be a KJVonlyist. -
Romans 9 Isn't What You Think It Is
So many people think that Romans 9 is about predestination and that it has a lot to say about how or why or whether someone is saved. The fact is, it doesn't have anything to do with either. Romans 9 is about Israel - the nation of Israel.
Before I get started, let me say first that I think that the Bible interprets itself and must be taken as a whole but that I also believe that individual passages of Scripture must stand on their own without being logically incoherent. In other words, we...
